Heard has since countersued for $100 million.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo Mr. Depp is not the only domestic partner you\u2019ve assaulted, is he, Ms. Heard?\u201d Depp attorney Camille Vasquez pressed the \u201cAquaman\u201d actress in a Virginia court at the end of a series of questions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou committed domestic violence again Ms. van Ree during your relationship, didn\u2019t you?\u201d the attorney started in on Heard.<\/p>\n<p>Heard responded, \u201cNo, I did not.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou assaulted her at a Seattle airport in 2009, didn\u2019t you?\u201d Vasquez continued.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo, I did not,\u201d Heard said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd people saw that,\u201d Vasquez stated.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s not true,\u201d the 36-year-old replied.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd it was covered in the press, isn\u2019t that true?\u201d Depp\u2019s attorney said.<\/p>\n<p>Heard said the story was \u201cplanted in the press by Johnny\u2019s team, two days after I got the TRO [temporary restraining order]. Not coincidentally.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Vasquez then read a headline from 2020 media report about the incident, \u201cAmber Heard allegedly grabbed, struck her ex-girlfriend at the airport.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo, Mr. Depp is not the only domestic partner you\u2019ve assaulted, is he, Ms. Heard?\u201d the attorney wrapped up her questioning.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve never assaulted Mr. Depp or anyone else that I\u2019ve been romantically linked to, ever,\u201d Heard insisted.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo further questions, your honor,\u201d Vasquez closed.<\/p>\n<p>Back in 2016, and years following, numerous news articles were published about the 2009 incident with Heard and her then-girlfriend van Ree.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities have confirmed that Heard was arrested by Port of Seattle Police after allegedly striking van Ree at the\u00a0Seattle-Tacoma International Airport in Washington state, USA Today <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/life\/movies\/2016\/06\/07\/amber-heard-arrested-2009-charge-hitting-girlfriend\/85563338\/\">reported<\/a> in 2016. The pair \u201cgot into a fracas at\u00a0the airport after\u00a0Heard\u00a0allegedly grabbed and struck van Ree\u2019s arm,\u201d the report said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Airport spokesman Perry Cooper said Heard was arrested for misdemeanor\u00a0assault in the fourth degree\/domestic violence over the incident. The following day, prosecutors declined to press charges against the actress.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Further, the arrest information on the case was deleted in 2011 following a request, Cooper noted.<\/p>\n<p>Van Ree later said the incident was blown out of proportion and seemed to suggest the witnessing authorities were acting on misogyny.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI [recall] hints of misogynistic attitudes toward us which later appeared to be homophobic when they found out we were domestic partners and not just \u2018friends,&#8217;\u201d she <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/life\/movies\/2016\/06\/07\/amber-heard-arrested-2009-charge-hitting-girlfriend\/85563338\/\">said<\/a> in a statement, according to USA Today. \u201cIt\u2019s disheartening that Amber\u2019s integrity and story are being questioned yet again. Amber is a brilliant, honest and beautiful woman and I have the utmost respect for her.
