Months later \u2013 as of April 24 \u2013 40% of the most popular formula products were out of stock in the U.S., CBS News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/baby-formula-shortage-rationing-national-crisis\/\">recently<\/a>\u00a0reported.<\/p>\n<p>Invoking the DPA will \u201censure that manufacturers have the necessary ingredients to make safe, healthy infant formula here at home,\u201d the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/05\/16\/msnbc-katie-tur-grills-xavier-becerra-baby-formula-shortage\/\">White House<\/a> said in a fact sheet <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/statements-releases\/2022\/05\/18\/fact-sheet-president-biden-announces-new-actions-to-address-infant-formula-shortage\/\">published<\/a> Wednesday evening. The DPA\u00a0gives the president significant control over domestic industries in case of a national emergency.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe President is requiring suppliers to direct needed resources to infant formula manufacturers before any other customer who may have ordered that good.
