Heard has countersued for more than $100 million.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s you and Mr. Franco on May 22, 2016, right Ms. Heard?\u201d Depp attorney Camille Vasquez asked the actress during cross-examination.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s correct,\u201d Heard confirmed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd you\u2019re taking him up to the penthouses, aren\u2019t you?\u201d the attorney pressed. Heard responded, \u201cThat\u2019s where I lived, yes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Vasquez then refreshed Heard\u2019s memory, offering a timestamp to show her meeting with Franco started right around 11 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou changed the locks to the penthouses on May 22, 2016,\u201d Vasquez continued.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI attempted to,\u201d the actress responded.<\/p>\n<div class=\"paragraph\">\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s why you felt comfortable having James Franco over the evening of May 22, 2016?\u201d the attorney <a href=\"https:\/\/ew.com\/celebrity\/johnny-depp-amber-heard-james-franco-footage\/\">charged<\/a>, stating that Heard \u201cknew Mr. Depp was out of town.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"paragraph\">\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t know what I knew of his schedule at the time,\u201d Heard replied.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"paragraph\">\n<p>During redirect questioning, Heard claimed she was merely friends with Franco, and that she had reached out to him because she had \u201cexhausted\u201d everyone else in her support system.<\/p>\n<div class=\"paragraph\">\n<p>The footage shows Heard cuddling up to Franco in a private elevator en route to Depp\u2019s Los Angeles penthouse, a home Depp shared with Heard at the time.<\/p>\n<p>The security footage, dated May 22, 2016, was also shown before a London court in 2020, when Depp was suing The Sun for libel. The footage also was after Heard filed for a restraining order against the \u201cPirates of the Caribbean\u201d actor.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe footage shown in court from the CCTV system of Heard\u2019s home in LA [Depp\u2019s penthouse] shows her entering a lift on May 22, 2016, at 22.56pm wearing a long robe and going down to collect James Franco from reception,\u201d\u00a0NZ Herald <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nzherald.co.nz\/entertainment\/amber-heard-james-franco-cctv-video-shown-to-london-court\/2BWF3Q25IYQLFTLJVLM5MSUMLU\/\">reported<\/a> in 2020. \u201cHe enters the lift wearing a baseball cap and is carrying a backpack.
