Wooden Middle School.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis speculative harm is both unsupported by any evidence and appears questionable, given that the School District allows other transgender students to use the restrooms associated with their gender identity,\u201d Pratt wrote, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wishtv.com\/news\/local-news\/judge-martinsville-schools-must-allow-transgender-student-to-use-boys-bathroom\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">according to<\/a> WISH-TV.<\/p>\n<p>The district intends to appeal the original decision to the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals, according to the report.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe school had previously prevented the transgender student from using the boys\u2019 restroom, playing on male sports teams, and from being referred to using the pronouns \u2018he\u2019 and \u2018him.&#8217;\u201d Fox News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/judge-indiana-school-allow-transgender-boys-restroom\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The original ruling argued that Pratt\u2019s injunction \u201cwould be disruptive of the school\u2019s operations\u2026and undermine the order and authority of the school,\u201d according to the report.<\/p>\n<p>The decision is one of many recent opinions regarding cases about gender identity.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, The Daily Wire <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/parents-social-media-react-to-oregon-requiring-tampons-in-boys-school-bathrooms\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a> that Oregon now requires public schools to provide feminine hygiene products in the boys\u2019 bathrooms, and some parents are concerned.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cMenstrual Dignity Act\u201d was\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/olis.oregonlegislature.gov\/liz\/2021R1\/Downloads\/MeasureDocument\/HB3294\/Enrolled\">passed<\/a> last year by the Democrat-controlled Oregon legislature and signed by Democratic Governor Kate Brown.<\/p>\n<p>The law requires that all Oregon public schools provide free menstrual products like tampons and pads in boys\u2019 and all-gender restrooms and girls\u2019 bathrooms by the end of the 2022-2023 school year. Menstrual products and instructions on how to use them will be placed in all school bathrooms, including at elementary schools.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis act was passed last year without parental or taxpayer input and parents still haven\u2019t been informed by the schools about what\u2019s happening,\u201d Kori Gilmore, a mother of two elementary school boys in the Medford School District, <a href=\"https:\/\/ktvl.com\/news\/local\/free-menstrual-products-coming-to-all-public-school-restrooms-in-oregon-medford-school-district-tampons-pads-department-education-boys-girls-gender\">told<\/a>\u00a0local outlet\u00a0KTVL.<\/p>\n<p>Last month, a group of 22 GOP House leaders sent a letter to Biden Administration Education Department Secretary Miguel Cardona opposing the plan to change the definition of Title IX to include gender identity.<\/p>\n<p>The letter was led by Oklahoma Republican Rep. Markwayne Mullin.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis change in definition will negate the very foundation on which this protection is based,\u201d Mullin said in a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/04\/21\/house-republicans-markwayne-mullin-letter-biden-miguel-cardona-democrats-compromising-progress-womens-sports-title-ix\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">statement<\/a>\u00a0to the Daily Caller. \u201cThere will be no level playing field as 50 years of history and progress are erased. Since its introduction, there has been a significant increase in the number of women who participate in sports and go on to pursue them at a collegiate level.
