A haphazard one, apparently, as the president of the United States recently butchered the name of the Food and Drug Administration in a pre-taped address regarding the baby formula crisis as he failed to convey confidence and assuredness to the American people on the topic.<\/p>\n<p>Boston radio legend Howie Carr flagged the goof, tweeting, \u201cIn a PRE-TAPED segment, Brandon misidentifies the Food and Drug Administration as the \u2018Federal\u2019 Drug Administration.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Biden was <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/POTUS\/status\/1526548254749560833?s=20&#038;t=zwxaIlyuqr1O58su-1ybyA\">announcing<\/a>, \u201cThe FDA will allow formula from outside the US to be safely imported, which will quickly increase supply.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As Carr added in disbelief, not only did nobody on his communications team catch the mistake, \u201cthey put the misidentification in the chyrons!\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">In a PRE-TAPED segment, Brandon misidentifies the Food and Drug Administration as the &#8220;Federal&#8221; Drug Administration. His administration needed \u201cbetter mind readers\u201d and was only answering questions about the issue because it was in the news \u201call of a sudden.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Three days later, his Secretary of Health and Human Services Xavier Becerra <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/top-biden-official-claims-administration-knew-about-baby-formula-shortage-last-year?%3Futm_source=twitter&#038;utm_medium=social&#038;utm_campaign=dwtwitter\">said<\/a> that the FDA (again, that\u2019s Food and Drug, not Federal Drug) had kept him apprised of the issue since \u201clast year.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Likewise, an anonymous administration official <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/politics\/2022\/05\/13\/baby-formula-shortage-has-turned-political\/\">told<\/a> reporters on Monday, \u201cI can assure you that this is not new to the White House\u2019s radar. We have been working on this issue since the very beginning, in the days leading up to the recall and ever since then.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In light of that comment, the administration\u2019s baby emergency website seems even more ineffective than previously reported.<\/p>\n<p>On Friday, former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki announced a website marketed as a one-stop-shop for parents finding the baby formula. Instead, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/bidens-emergency-baby-formula-website-has-been-a-total-disaster\">according<\/a> to CNN, the information provided led to frustrations and lengthy wait times for anxious parents. How could the Biden team be working on this issue every day for months, only to reveal a website that failed to adequately address the main problem?<\/p>\n<p>Paying attention to details is important for any successful organization \u2014\u00a0 just listen to Biden himself.<\/p>\n<p>In March 2021, Biden <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/speeches-remarks\/2021\/03\/12\/remarks-by-president-biden-on-the-american-rescue-plan-2\/\">said<\/a> in a prepared speech regarding another policy item, \u201cDetails matter, because we have to continue to build confidence in the American people that their government can function for them and deliver.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As thousands of moms look for the government and private sector to \u201cfunction for them and deliver\u201d baby formula, Biden\u2019s latest gaffe on the topic \u2014 during a recorded video no less \u2014 is only more evidence that the administration has not been paying close attention to the details on the issue.<\/p>\n<p><em>The views expressed in this piece are the author\u2019s own and do not necessarily represent those of The Daily Wire.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What sort of communications shop are the folks in President Joe Biden\u2019s administration running?
