They both agreed that Hawkins complained about the grueling tour schedule and Cameron explained that the drummer had brought up his concerns with band frontman Dave Grohl prior to his death.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cHe had a heart-to-heart with Dave and, yeah, he told me that he \u2018couldn\u2019t f***ing do it anymore\u2019\u2014those were his words,\u201d Cameron told the publication. \u201cSo I guess they did come to some understanding, but it just seems like the touring schedule got even crazier after that.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>A rep for Foo Fighters denied the claims, telling Rolling Stone that Hawkins never discussed the schedule with Grohl.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cNo, there was never a \u2018heart-to-heart\u2019\u2014or any sort of meeting on this topic\u2014with Dave and [Silva Artist Management],\u201d the rep said.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The article also discusses an alleged incident in December 2021 when Hawkins reportedly lost consciousness on a plane in Chicago. \u201cHe just said he was exhausted and collapsed, and they had to pump him full of IVs and stuff,\u201d Smith said. \u201cHe was dehydrated and all kinds of stuff.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Smith said that Hawkins later told him he \u201ccan\u2019t do it like this anymore.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The rocker continued, saying: \u201cThat was one of the straws that broke the camel\u2019s back. After that, he had a real important heart-to-heart with Dave and the management. He said, \u2018I can\u2019t continue on this schedule, and so we\u2019ve got to figure out something.\u2019\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The Foo Fighters representative also said this story of having an incident on a plane was a fabrication and never happened.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Hawkins, a 50-year-old father of three, died while on tour with the band in Colombia in late March. A preliminary toxicology test revealed the presence of different substances including marijuana, tricyclic antidepressants, benzodiazepines, and opioids in his system, per <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/celebrity-news\/news\/taylor-hawkins-had-10-substances-in-system-before-death-details\/\"><span>US Weekly<\/span><\/a><span>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cThe Foo Fighters family is devastated by the tragic and untimely loss of our beloved Taylor Hawkins,\u201d the band said in a statement after Hawkins\u2019 death.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cHis musical spirit and infectious laughter will live on with all of us forever. Our hearts go out to his wife, children and family, and we ask that their privacy be treated with the utmost respect in this unimaginably difficult time.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Grohl and Hawkins were incredibly close friends.
