Elsewhere, they say that left-wingers are leaving because right-wingers feel &#8220;safe&#8221; to come back, since they see Elon Musk as a leader that represents their interests.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\"><\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">Senior engineer Siru Murugesan admitted to an undercover Veritas operative that the company culture at Twitter is extremely far left. He explains that the company\u2019s overall environment shifts people\u2019s leanings leftward simply by people being there.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">&#8220;Like I started working at Twitter and became left. I think it&#8217;s just like the environment, like you&#8217;re there and you become like this commie.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">He believes that left-wingers and right-wingers can\u2019t co-exist on Twitter, and that the company\u2019s censorship routines are biased because right-wingers have endured it, in contrast to left-wingers who threaten to leave if people they don\u2019t like are removed.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">Twitter&#8217;s transgender policies and how left-wing and right-wing viewpoints fundamentally differ on the matter, is something that Murugesan cites as a big example.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">&#8220;Ideologically, it does not make sense like, because we&#8217;re actually censoring the right, and not the left. So, everyone on the right wing will be like, &#8216;bro, it&#8217;s okay to stay, just gotta tolerate it.&#8217; The left will be like, no, I&#8217;m not gonna tolerate it. I need it censored or else I&#8217;m not gonna be on the platform.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">&#8220;So, it does that on the right. It&#8217;s true. There is bias. It is what it is today,&#8221; says the current Twitter employee.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">When it comes to the issue of free speech that first inspired <a href=\"https:\/\/thepostmillennial.com\/breaking-elon-musk-makes-43-billion-offer-to-buy-twitter\">Musk\u2019s purchase<\/a>, Murugesan flat-out states &#8220;Twitter does not believe in free speech.&#8221; He also attests to how his co-workers &#8220;hated&#8221; Musk deciding to jump on board. &#8220;They hate it. Oh my God. I&#8217;m at least like okay with it. But some of my colleagues are like super left, left, left, left, left.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">The undercover Veritas person asks what other employees have said. &#8220;They&#8217;re like, &#8216;this would be my last day if this happens&#8217;,&#8221; Murugesan responded.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">Murugesan said &#8220;a lot has changed&#8221; since Elon Musk began the takeover process. He said employees were worried for their jobs because the billionaire capitalist runs his businesses differently from Twitter\u2019s socialist workplace culture. &#8220;You know, our jobs are at stake. He&#8217;s a capitalist and we weren&#8217;t really operating as capitalists, more like very socialist. Like we&#8217;re all commie as f*ck.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">He also said that the previous management allowed people to take extended time off whenever they want.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">&#8220;Essentially like everyone gets to do whatever they want, no one really cares about like [operating expenses], like capitalists, they care about numbers or care about how to make the business more efficient. But in Twitter, it&#8217;s like mental health is everything, like if you are not feeling it, you can take a few days off. People have taken months off, they will come back. But you always like, like do your best at any time. And that&#8217;s the culture and you know we&#8217;ll run the business as much as possible. But at the same time, you know, like the profits weren&#8217;t a lot.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">He noted pushback from staffers over Elon Musk\u2019s takeover of the company. &#8220;We did all we could, to like revolt against it. A lot of employees revolted against it. But at the end of the day, [the] board of directors have the say, and then they acted on their best interests cause they didn&#8217;t wanna get sued.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">Tensions flared between Musk and Twitter\u2019s current management last Friday, after the billionaire <a href=\"https:\/\/thepostmillennial.com\/breaking-elon-musks-twitter-deal-temporarily-on-hold\">claimed<\/a> &#8220;deal temporarily on hold pending details supporting calculation that spam\/fake accounts do indeed represent less than 5% of users.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">Then, over the weekend, Twitter\u2019s legal department <a href=\"https:\/\/thepostmillennial.com\/twitter-alleges-elon-musk-broke-nda\">complained<\/a> that Mr. Musk broke his NDA agreement with the company by &#8220;by revealing the bot check sample size is 100.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">Current Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal formally responded to Musk&#8217;s statements on Monday via a Twitter thread where he elaborated on the company&#8217;s internal processes for determining the platform&#8217;s population of spam\/bot users.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">Elon responded to Parag\u2019s statement with a poop emoji.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">\n<figure class=\"kg-card kg-embed-card\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"und\">?<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Elon Musk (@elonmusk) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/elonmusk\/status\/1526246899606601730?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 16, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/figure>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">&#8220;So how do advertisers know what they\u2019re getting for their money? Jack Dorsey also <a href=\"https:\/\/thepostmillennial.com\/jack-dorsey-says-he-has-no-plans-to-help-elon-musk-run-twitter\">put to rest<\/a> speculations about Musk reinstating him as CEO.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">Monday\u2019s release from Project Veritas confirms Elon Musk\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/thepostmillennial.com\/twitter-obv-has-a-strong-left-wing-bias-elon-musk-on-the-necessity-of-free-speech\">previously stated<\/a> suspicions about ideological bias among Twitter employees. Even when the billionaire\u2019s interest in the platform first began with stock purchases, Twitter staff <a href=\"https:\/\/thepostmillennial.com\/twitter-employees-triggered-after-elon-musk-buys-ownership-stake\">expressed<\/a> vocal outrage and it <a href=\"https:\/\/thepostmillennial.com\/twitter-manager-says-hes-been-radicalized-following-elon-musks-appointment-to-board-its-broken-me\">&#8220;radicalized&#8221;<\/a> a manager of their engineering department.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">The outrage cycle <a href=\"https:\/\/thepostmillennial.com\/twitter-employees-go-absolutely-insane-after-elon-musk-buys-company\">repeated itself<\/a> after Elon Musk outright bought Twitter completely. It wasn\u2019t just public outrage either, there were staffers who privately <a href=\"https:\/\/thepostmillennial.com\/internal-slack-messages-show-twitter-employees-melting-down-over-musk-buyout\">fumed<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">This marks the second time that Veritas has released something about Twitter since Elon Musk&#8217;s takeover of the platform.
