Heard began by telling the jury how she arrived at \u201cfashion\u2019s biggest night\u201d solo that year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cI got out of the car and walked the red carpet by myself, escorted by somebody from Ralph Lauren\u2019s team and I sat next to an empty place setting for Johnny that they cleared as soon as they realized he had effectively stood me up on the red carpet,\u201d the \u201cAquaman\u201d alum explained.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Heard next explained her run-in with Musk.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cI didn\u2019t recognize him until we started talking. He\u2019d reminded me we\u2019d met once before,\u201d she said. \u201cWe spoke on the red carpet in the waiting line. He seemed like a real gentleman, he was really nice.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Heard recalled how Musk \u201csat at a nearby table\u201d during the gala and that the pair \u201cgot to speaking\u201d and \u201ceventually became friends.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Musk and Heard were romantically linked beginning in 2016, a month after she filed for divorce from Depp. The \u201cPirates of the Caribbean\u201d actor claims that Heard was cheating on him with Musk way before that and throughout their marriage.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The Daily Wire <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/new-details-about-elon-musk-and-amber-heards-relationship-revealed-during-defamation-trial\"><span>previously reported<\/span><\/a><span> that Musk and Heard\u2019s text communications were subpoenaed as part of the investigation but that the world\u2019s richest man would not be required to testify.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Court documents indicated that Musk visited Depp\u2019s penthouse \u201clate at night\u201d while the actor was not at home. The 50-year-old Tesla founder was also allegedly given parking garage access.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cMusk\u2019s first appearance in Mr. Depp\u2019s penthouse occurred shortly after Ms. Heard threw a vodka bottle at Mr. Depp in Australia, when she learned that Mr. Depp wanted the couple to enter into a post-nuptial agreement concerning assets in their marriage. Ms. Heard\u2019s violently aimed projectile virtually severed Mr. Depp\u2019s middle finger on his right hand and shattered the bones,\u201d court documents state.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>A representative for Musk denied that Musk and Heard\u2019s relationship overlapped with her marriage to Depp.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cElon and Amber didn\u2019t start seeing each other until May 2016, and even then it was infrequent.
