It is unknown if the case being dropped may have been part of a settlement.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\"><\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">\n<p>Police were <a href=\"https:\/\/thepostmillennial.com\/reason-for-jacob-blakes-arrest-warrant-revealed\">responding<\/a> to a 911 call placed by Blake\u2019s ex-girlfriend, after he came to her house in violation of a restraining order. Video <a href=\"https:\/\/thepostmillennial.com\/watch-video-footage-reveals-jacob-blake-brawling-with-members-of-law-enforcement-before-being-shot\">showed<\/a> that Blake wrestled with two officers. The shooting happened after he walked away from officers and opened up the driver\u2019s side door of a vehicle. Sheskey shot Blake after he turned toward the officer with a knife. Blake was also wanted on a felony sexual assault warrant at the time of the incident.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/thepostmillennial.com\/kenosha-officer-in-jacob-blake-shooting-cleared-of-wrong-doing-by-independent-review\">Sheskey was cleared of any criminal wrongdoing<\/a> and later <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/shootings-wisconsin-jacob-blake-sexual-assault-kenosha-5c394c94f75ee315fbeaf382c9151bca\">the sexual assault charges against Blake were dropped<\/a> as part of a plea deal. Prosecutors dropped a felony third-degree sexual assault charge and a misdemeanor criminal trespass charge against Blake in exchange for him pleading guilty to two misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct. He was sentenced to two years probation.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">\n<p>Blake\u2019s shooting sparked the riots during which Kyle Rittenhouse fatally shot two men and wounded a third while defending himself.
