Even if we were, disagreeing with the president would still be allowed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cThe Biden administration approved more drilling permits in 2021 than the Trump administration approved in the first three years they were in office,\u201d Hoyer<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realclearpolitics.com\/video\/2022\/05\/13\/steny_hoyer_were_at_war_forget_about_the_politics_and_focus_on_the_enemy.html\"><span>said<\/span><\/a><span> on Friday from the House floor in response to Republican statements about Biden\u2019s energy policies. He later added, \u201cI don\u2019t know how the [Republican leader] rationalizes his comments about Biden constricting petroleum production\u2026\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cIt is unfortunate that in a time of war, that we spend all the time blaming our own president,\u201d he continued. \u201cIt is unfortunate that when the Europeans put themselves \u2014 over the objections of numerous administrations \u2014 in a place where they had a dependence on Russia, Russia has no leverage over us.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cI wish we\u2019d get off this and really focus on the enemy,\u201d Hoyer remarked.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cI know there\u2019s a lot of politics here, but we\u2019re at war,\u201d he remarked again. \u201cWe need to produce energy.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>In response, Congressman Chip Roy (R-TX) tweeted ponderingly, \u201c\u2018In a time of war\u2019 \u2013 did we vote on a declaration of war?
