The late actress\u2019 former publicist confirmed she did not make the remark.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span>Fact Check:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>White passed away Dec. 31, 2021 at the age of 99 from complications related to a stroke she had suffered six days earlier, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2022\/01\/10\/entertainment\/betty-white-cause-of-death\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">CNN<\/a>. A viral Facebook image claims that before she died she had made statements in support of abortion rights.<\/p>\n<p>The image shows a photo of White along with an alleged quote of hers that reads, \u201cIf men could get pregnant, abortions would be available at Jiffy Lube.\u201d The same quote was attributed to her on Twitter, including one <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/LeahsLounge\/status\/143383119748700979\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">tweet<\/a> with over 6,000 retweets.<\/p>\n<p>There is no record of White making such a statement. It does not appear on any of her verified <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/bettymwhite\/?hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">social<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/profile\/100044643420062\/search\/?q=abortion\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">media<\/a> accounts or in any of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/books\/edition\/Betty_White_in_Person\/SmQQXfF8SpYC?hl=en&#038;gbpv=1&#038;bsq=Jiffy%20Lube\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">her<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/books\/edition\/If_You_Ask_Me\/ViH-PoKHiSEC?hl=en&#038;gbpv=1&#038;bsq=Jiffy%20Lube\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">books<\/a>.
