And Bruce Falck, the general manager of revenue, announced his departure on Thursday. <\/p>\n<p><b><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/policy\/technology\/elon-musk-faces-sec-investigation-over-delayed-disclosure-of-twitter-stake-report\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ELON MUSK FACES SEC INVESTIGATION OVER DELAYED DISCLOSURE OF TWITTER STAKE: REPORT<\/a><\/b> <\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s critical to have the right leaders at the right time,\u201d Agrawal said in a memo to staff <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2022\/5\/12\/23068985\/twitter-memo-parag-agrawal-firing-execs-hiring-freeze\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">published<\/a> by the <i>Verge<\/i>. &#8220;Effective this week, we are pausing most hiring and backfills, except for business critical roles as determined by Staff members in partnership with their HRBPs. &#8230; We are not planning company-wide layoffs, but leaders will continue making changes to their organizations to improve efficiencies as needed.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>Beykpour will be replaced by Jay Sullivan, who had been serving as the interim general manager of the consumer product. The company is searching for a replacement for Falck. Agrawal thanked the two for their work for the company and did not elaborate on why they were leaving. Beykpour indicated in a tweet that he had been let go by Agrawal. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe truth is that this isn\u2019t how and when I imagined leaving Twitter, and this wasn\u2019t my decision.
