It wasn&#8217;t like this suddenly popped up?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Psaki: &#8220;This is something the administration has been working on for some time now.&#8221; (3\/3) <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/tH0GbjaE8J\">pic.twitter.com\/tH0GbjaE8J<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Curtis Houck (@CurtisHouck) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CurtisHouck\/status\/1524843179194863637?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 12, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Fox News White House Correspondent Jacqui Heinrich continued in the same vein, noting that a <a href=\"https:\/\/dailywire.com\/news\/amid-baby-formula-shortages-republicans-introduce-legislation-strengthening-domestic-infant-formula-supply\/\">whistle-blower<\/a> had come forward last October to warn the FDA.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt does seem like we should\u2019ve seen this coming, that maybe the FDA could have done more on the baby formula shortage,\u201d she said. \u201cThe whistleblower used to work at that Sturgis plant warned the FDA top officials about safety concerns in October but they didn\u2019t interview that whistleblower until December, the inspection wasn\u2019t until January 31st and the recall happened February 17th. So, is that timeline acceptable to the White House? And it not, what is the White House doing to correct that?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Psaki replied that she did not have any \u201cspecific analysis\u201d of the process, repeating that the Biden administration had been working on the issue for months.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">JACQUI TIME: &#8220;It does seem like we should&#8217;ve seen this coming, that maybe the FDA could have done more on the baby formula shortage.
