Katie Porter said inflation and rising prices reinforced the importance of abortion on MSNBC\u2019s \u201cThe Last Word\u201d Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Porter <a href=\"https:\/\/www.msnbc.com\/the-last-word\/watch\/katie-porter-rage-will-grow-now-that-gop-blocked-abortion-bill-139832389547\">said<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/05\/10\/joe-biden-incoherent-speech-inflation-strength\/\">inflation<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/05\/10\/jen-psaki-joe-biden-ultra-maga-abortion-roe-v-wave\/\">abortion<\/a> were closely tied together and that, as grocery and gas prices rose, people would realize the importance of controlling their family size through abortion.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe fact that things like inflation can happen and it can become more expensive to feed your kids and to fuel your car is exactly why people need to be able to be in charge of how many mouths they\u2019re gonna have to feed,\u201d Porter said.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WATCH:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n[embedded content]\n<p>Host Lawrence O\u2019Donnell said President <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/05\/11\/inflation-consumer-price-index-labor-department-joe-biden\/\">Joe Biden<\/a> was prioritizing inflation, and Porter explained that inflation and abortion were closely related issues. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/05\/11\/media-supreme-court-leak-roe-v-wade\/\">(RELATED: Media\u2019s Spin On Who Leaked SCOTUS Opinion Doesn\u2019t Hold Water, Legal Experts Say)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think they reinforce for people just how big of a responsibility it is to take care of a family,\u201d she said. \u201cSo I think the fact that we\u2019re seeing this jump in expenses, that we\u2019re seeing people having to pay more in the grocery store, pay more at the pump, pay more for housing, is a reason that people are saying \u2018I need to be able to make my own decisions about when and if to start a family.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Supreme Court is likely to overturn Roe v.
