On Thursday, the first images of the red planet were beamed down to Earth into mission control at a lab in Pasadena, California.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Radar locked and cameras on.
