The rumor stems from a satirical website.<\/p>\n<p><span><strong>Fact Check:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The Facebook post shows a screengrab of a <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/tlloydjones\/status\/1522944897493475329\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">tweet<\/a> that reads, \u201cIt\u2019s started. Vice President of #Pfizer has been arrested at his home and charged with multiple counts of fraud by US federal agents. #PfizeGate #PfizerDump.\u201d The tweet includes a link to an <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20220506043121\/https:\/\/vancouvertimes.org\/vp-of-pfizer-arrested-after-document-dump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">article<\/a> from the Vancouver Times titled \u201cVP of Pfizer arrested after document dump.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>There is no evidence to suggest Johnson has been arrested or charged with any crime. Neither the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/news?keys=Pfizer&#038;items_per_page=25\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Department of Justice<\/a> nor <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pfizer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Pfizer<\/a> has issued any statement or press release about the alleged arrest. There are likewise no <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=pfizer+vice+president+arrested&#038;sxsrf=ALiCzsbDahEGp32RQbplX_4yQQgHcvjSvg:1652204206985&#038;source=lnms&#038;tbm=nws&#038;sa=X&#038;ved=2ahUKEwjO8ummvNX3AhVabTABHcTWBfEQ_AUoAXoECAEQAw&#038;biw=1536&#038;bih=722&#038;dpr=1.25\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">credible news reports<\/a> about Johnson\u2019s purported detainment.<\/p>\n<p><span>A spokesperson for Pfizer told Check Your Fact in an email that the claim is false. <a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2022\/04\/14\/fact-check-anthony-fauci-arrest-niaid\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>(RELATED: Was Anthony Fauci Arrested In April 2022?)<\/strong><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The rumor appears to stem from a May 6 <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20220506043121\/https:\/\/vancouvertimes.org\/vp-of-pfizer-arrested-after-document-dump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">article<\/a> published by the Vancouver Times, a website that <a href=\"https:\/\/vancouvertimes.org\/about-us\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">identifies<\/a> itself as the \u201cmost trusted source for satire on the West Coast.\u201d <span>A satire Disclaimer appears at the bottom of the original article.
