Wade. Some of these demonstrations targeted the homes of conservative justices, with crowds gathering outside their homes over the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/05\/09\/abortion-activists-pro-life-groups-vandals-churches\/\">weekend<\/a> and throughout this week.<\/p>\n<p>Psaki was asked on Tuesday whether President Joe Biden believes such protests outside of justices\u2019 homes are \u201cattempts to interfere or intimidate.\u201d The press secretary began by reiterating a statement she posted to Twitter on Monday, which noted that Biden doesn\u2019t believe in \u201cviolence, threats, or vandalism\u201d as a form of protest.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat I do find is interesting \u2013 and I think many people have noted \u2013 is that there are voices on the right who have called out this, protests that are happening, while remaining silent for years on protests that have happened outside of the homes of school board members, the Michigan secretary of state, or including threats made to women seeking reproductive reproductive health care or even an insurrection against our capital,\u201d Psaki first said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo I know that there\u2019s an outrage right now, I guess, about protests that have been peaceful to date, and we certainly continue to encourage that outside of judges\u2019 homes and that\u2019s the president\u2019s position,\u201d the press secretary added.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WATCH:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Psaki didn\u2019t directly address whether the president sees protesting outside of justices\u2019 homes as \u201cattempts to interfere or intimidate,\u201d instead reiterating that they \u201chaven\u2019t really seen\u201d outrage at the examples she listed as forms of intimidation.<\/p>\n<p>On <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/05\/09\/white-house-jen-psaki-roe-v-wade-protests-never-violence-threats-vandalism\/\">Monday<\/a>, after\u00a0crowds gathered outside the homes of conservative Supreme Court justices and a Wisconsin pro-life organization\u2019s office was <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/05\/09\/pro-life-roe-v-wade-madison-wisconsin-abortion-headquaters-fire\/\">vandalized<\/a> and set on fire, Psaki stated that judges \u201cmust be able to do their jobs without concern for their personal safety.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Later that day, Psaki was confronted by news of a <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/05\/09\/reporter-jen-psaki-protest-law-scotus-justices-homes\/\">federal statute<\/a> that prohibits picketing justices\u2019 homes \u201cwith the intent of influencing any judge.\u201d <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/05\/06\/psaki-bidenpro-abortion-protesters-influence-scotus-justices\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Psaki Does Not Give Direct Answer If Biden Wants Pro-Abortion Protesters To Influence SCOTUS Justices)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re certainly not suggesting anyone break any laws,\u201d Psaki replied at the time. \u201cI would note that the president\u2019s view has long been, and I tweeted this earlier this morning and repeated and made a number of these comments last week as well, that violence, threats and intimidation have no place in political discourse.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYes, we are a country that promotes democracy and we certainly allow for peaceful protest in a range of places in the country. No one should violate the law, no one is suggesting that.
