Wade was an example of an \u201cultra MAGA\u201d position in a Tuesday press conference.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/05\/06\/jen-psaki-joe-biden-abortion-white-house\/\">Psaki<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/live\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">said<\/a> President <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/05\/06\/biden-white-house-supreme-court-justice-address-protest-conservative\/\">Joe Biden<\/a> used the phrase \u201cultra MAGA\u201d to refer to Republicans with extreme or unpopular positions who, in his view, played too large of a role in the GOP. She added that people who support Republican Florida Sen. Rick Scott\u2019s plan to have all Americans pay income taxes and \u201csunset\u201d Medicare and Social Security are also \u201cultra MAGA.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>WATCH:<\/strong><\/p>\n[embedded content]\n<p>\u201cGiven two-third of the American people, according to a Fox News poll, believe that Roe v. Wade should be protected, if you\u2019re on the other side of that you\u2019re supporting an ultra MAGA position in the president\u2019s view,\u201d Psaki said.<\/p>\n<p>The Fox News poll Psaki was referring to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/official-polls\/fox-news-poll-just-over-half-favor-banning-abortions-after-15-weeks\">found<\/a> that, while more than 60% of voters said they supported upholding <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/05\/03\/abortion-planned-parenthood-naral-emilys-list-center-for-reproductive-health-supreme-court-dobbs-roe\/\">Roe<\/a>, about half of respondents supported abortion restrictions which Roe explicitly forbids. It found 54% of voters supported state laws banning abortion at 15 weeks, such as the Mississippi law at the center of the current Supreme Court Case, and 50% of voters supported an even stricter 6-week abortion limit.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI will tell you it\u2019s the president\u2019s phrase,\u201d Psaki said, referring to \u201cultra MAGA.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think what has struck him is how extreme some of the policies and proposals are that a certain wing of the Republican party, that is taking up too much of the Republican party, are for and are advocating for,\u201d she added. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/05\/05\/democrats-legalize-third-trimester-abortions\/\">(RELATED: Democrats Try To Legalize Third Trimester Abortions In All 50 States)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A leaked draft opinion <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2022\/05\/02\/supreme-court-abortion-draft-opinion-00029473\">revealed<\/a>\u00a0that the Supreme Court would likely overturn Roe v.
