Wade, resurfaced video shows Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer threatening conservative Justices Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh should they vote wrong on abortion.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking before a crowd of abortion rights activists in 2020 who were outside the court where justices were hearing a challenge to a Louisiana law that required abortion providers to have admitting privileges at a nearby hospital, Schumer threatened the justices.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI want to tell you, Gorsuch; I want to tell you, Kavanaugh; You have released the whirlwind, and you will pay the price. You won\u2019t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions,\u201d Schumer said at the time.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Senator Schumer\u2019s threat in 2020 on the steps of SCOTUS:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI want to tell you, Gorsuch. All members of the Court will continue to do their job, without fear or favor, from whatever quarter,\u201d Roberts said, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/supreme-court\/rare-rebuke-chief-justice-roberts-slams-schumer-threatening-comments-n1150036\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">NBC News<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Schumer defended his comments, with a spokesman saying his remarks were referencing the political price Republicans will pay \u201cfor putting [Gorsuch and Kavanaugh] on the court,\u201d according to NBC News.<\/p>\n<p>The spokesman reportedly said Schumer was actually warning that \u201cthe justices will unleash major grassroots movement on the issue of reproductive rights against the decision.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Several prominent left-leaning politicians have recently called for protests against the high court after Politico reported on a leaked draft opinion that would overturn Roe v. Wade.<\/p>\n<p>Democratic Chicago Mayor <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/05\/10\/chicago-mayor-lori-lightfoot-issues-call-to-arms-supreme-court-twitter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Lori Lightfoot<\/a> tweeted a \u201ccall for arms\u201d Monday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo my friends in the LGBTQ+ community \u2013 the Supreme Court is coming for us next.
