The current price \u2013 $4.28 \u2013 represents an 84% jump.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Though President Biden has routinely released oil from the nation&#8217;s Strategic Petroleum Reserve \u2013 most recently $180 million barrels of crude oil in March \u2013 the effort has done little to bring down the soaring price of gas.<\/p>\n<p>The administration also recently expanded federal the program that allows U.S. oil company to lease federal land to drill for oil.
