Wade\u00a0<\/em>ruling.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith this draft ruling striking down the nearly fifty-year-old precedent of\u00a0<i>Roe v. Wade<\/i> and undermining the Constitutional right to privacy, Republicans would rip away women\u2019s right to make the most intimate and personal decisions. If handed down, this decision by GOP-appointed Justices would mean that, for the first time in our history, America\u2019s daughters will have less freedom than their mothers,\u201d Pelosi <a href=\"https:\/\/www.speaker.gov\/newsroom\/5922\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">wrote<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Pelosi noted that the House passed the Women\u2019s Health Protection Act in 2021, though the legislation failed in the Senate.<\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday, the House Speaker wrote that the Senate would again put the legislation up for a vote.<\/p>\n<p>Pelosi referred to expressions by pro-abortion rights activists over the past week as righteous anger.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhile we have seen and heard extraordinary anguish in our communities, we have been moved by how so many have channeled their righteous anger into meaningful action: planning to march and mobilize to make their voices heard,\u201d Pelosi wrote.<\/p>\n<p>Pelosi also thanked House Democrats for their commitment to abortion.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThank you for your powerful commitment to carrying on the fight for the rights of all Americans,\u201d she concluded.<\/p>\n<p>The letter was sent just one day after the headquarters of a pro-life organization in Wisconsin was set on fire in what appears to be a politically-motivated attack.<\/p>\n<p>The attack on Wisconsin Family Action, located in Madison, came days after the Supreme Court leak.<\/p>\n<p>As The Daily Wire <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/pro-life-group-attacked-in-wisconsin-if-abortions-arent-safe-then-you-arent-either\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a>, \u201cNo one from the organization was in the building at the time of the attack, which included a Molotov cocktail that was thrown through a window and failed to ignite. Whoever was behind the attack set another fire nearby that burned part of a wall.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Local media\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/madison.com\/news\/local\/madison-anti-abortion-headquarters-hit-by-molotov-cocktail-vandalism-graffiti\/article_526660ea-776d-50ca-9baa-4b4a9337dca7.html\">reported<\/a>\u00a0that graffiti was left outside the building that stated, \u201cIf abortions aren\u2019t safe then you aren\u2019t either.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Pelosi has also not given up the fight for Democrats to vote in support of abortion in the Senate. During an interview on Sunday on the CBS program \u201cFace the Nation,\u201d she spoke about the importance of the midterm election related to the issue.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut I do think that it puts an urgency on what is happening in the election. Two \u2013 one or two more Senators could sweep back the filibuster rule for this purpose.
