Kavanaugh was the subject of often violent protests during his confirmation hearing in 2018 after he was Trump&#8217;s first nominee to the court. <\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">\n<figure class=\"kg-card kg-embed-card kg-card-hascaption\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The energy is markedly more negative outside Kavanaugh\u2019s house. At least 5 coo cars showed up and protestors bailed. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/W7YtTBuUfp\">pic.twitter.com\/W7YtTBuUfp<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Douglas Blair (@DouglasKBlair) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DouglasKBlair\/status\/1523095833125994496?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 8, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/figure>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">\n<p>The group <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ruthsent.us\/\">Ruth Sent Us<\/a> has mapped out exact locations of the homes of Amy Coney Barrett, John Roberts, Samuel Alito, Brett Kavanaugh, Clarence Thomas, and Neil Gorsuch on their website, and announced plans to protest.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">\n<p>When the White House had been <a href=\"https:\/\/thepostmillennial.com\/white-house-hopes-final-scotus-opinion-on-roe-doesnt-look-like-leaked-draft\">asked<\/a> about the President&#8217;s thoughts on protesters demonstrating outside the homes of justices, outgoing Press Secretary Jen Psaki said &#8220;The President believes in peaceful protest.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">\n<p>&#8220;He believes that&#8217;s part of our democracy and part of the history of the United States in this country,&#8221; Psaki continued. &#8220;But he also respects and understands the independence of the third branch of government. And I mean, obviously the Justice Department, but also the role of the Supreme Court and what they play. So I wouldn&#8217;t say he has a view on that.
