They were found in their villas at\u00a0the Sandals Emerald Bay resort on the island of Great Exuma, according to Bahamas Acting Prime Minister\u00a0Chester Cooper, who insisted foul play is not suspected.<\/p>\n<p data-t=\"{\" n>\u201cIt is with deep sadness that we can confirm the passing of three guests at Sandals Emerald Bay on May 6, 2022,\u201d\u00a0Stacy Royal, a spokesperson for Sandals,\u00a0said in a statement.\u00a0\u201cA health emergency was initially reported and following our protocols we immediately alerted emergency medical professionals and relevant local authorities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Resort staff called George Town police Friday morning to say there was an unconscious guest in one of the resort\u2019s beachfront villas, which rent for as much as $1,000 per person, per night.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn their arrival at the scene they were directed to the first villa,\u201d the Royal Bahama Police Force said in a <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/OurNewsRev\/status\/1522717815689596928\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">tweet<\/a>. \u201cOn entering a bedroom, they found a caucasian male laying on the ground unresponsive.\u00a0An examination of the body was conducted, there was no signs of trauma found. Both had suffered convulsions, but bore no signs of trauma.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities said the couple had experienced nausea and vomiting Thursday and been treated at a local medical facility.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Breaking: Three Americans were found dead at Bahamas Sandals resort, a 5-star hotel, after becoming ill.
