His song and music video for \u201cWhite Boy Summer\u201d has also been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/commentisfree\/2021\/apr\/14\/chet-hanks-keeps-calling-for-a-white-boy-summer-and-he-really-needs-to-stop\">criticized<\/a> in a similar racial vein by activists.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNah. I don\u2019t feel like I\u2019ve truly done anything offensive, so I don\u2019t,\u201d Chet recently told host Ziwe Fumudoh, when asked if he\u2019d like to \u201capologize to any marginalized communities,\u201d particularly the \u201cPatois community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cZiwe\u201d host asked if the actor felt this way because he viewed his alleged \u201cappropriation\u201d as merely \u201ca celebration of culture\u201d and believes \u201csocial justice warriors\u201d complaining about him can \u201cgo kick rocks.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Chet nodded in the affirmative.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYeah. That\u2019s really what white boy summer is all about: just shining a light on interracial relations.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Chet added that he\u2019s preferred black women since \u201cas long as I can remember.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The rapper recently made headlines when he <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/tom-hanks-son-chet-speaks-candidly-about-toxic-upbringing-in-hollywood\">spoke<\/a> out about \u201ctoxic\u201d Hollywood culture in a video titled,\u00a0\u201cThe Truth About Growing Up As A Hanks.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhile Chet said he\u2019s \u2018blessed\u2019 to be part of a family he loves, the experience of growing up with very famous parents was a \u2018double-edged sword,&#8217;\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/tom-hanks-son-chet-speaks-candidly-about-toxic-upbringing-in-hollywood\">The Daily Wire<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s a lot of advantages but sometimes it can be pretty weird,\u201d he said in the video, which was published in February. \u201cI got to do a lot of cool s*** that a lot of people don\u2019t get the opportunity to do. I got to travel the world, stay in nice hotels, fly on private planes and I\u2019m very blessed for that.
