I think it\u2019s the rate of change, and the American public is not stupid, meaning, it\u2019s going to certainly quit going up as fast as it is, but prices are not \u2014and I underscore \u2014 are not going back to where they were,\u201d he said. \u201cYou need months and months and months of minus signs on year-over-year, months over months on CPI and PPI. Don\u2019t think you\u2019re going to get months and months of those, and on the other data with regard to this jobs report, I would say that the rest of the world\u2019s in much worse shape than us.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>WATCH:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think it\u2019s really funny when I see the Eurozone debating about what to do with oil and gas, and Putin\u2019s somewhere watching it. It just seems really weird, he\u2019s holding the switch. He can do it anytime he wants,\u201d Santelli added. \u201cAnd I still say, if there\u2019s one word about what the future of the world\u2019s economy looks like down the road, and people aren\u2019t going to like this, it\u2019s about the cost of energy. If people want to keep energy prices high and the governments want to have secret meetings about really not being all that enamored with fossil fuels at this point in history, then we\u2019re all doomed to slower economies down the road, period.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>President Joe Biden has reversed several Trump-era energy policies since taking office, with former Interior Secretary David Bernhardt recently saying the move has hurt Americans amid the Ukraine crisis.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs a candidate, President Biden was very, very clear that he had a different energy vision than the vision of energy independence \u2014 even energy dominance \u2014 that Trump had,\u201d Bernhardt told the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/05\/02\/joe-biden-climate-agenda-energy-interior-department-donald-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Daily Caller News Foundation<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPresident Biden campaigned with a very different vision,\u201d he added. \u201cHis vision, I think to say fairly, would be a vision of climate activism over energy independence or energy dominance.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/04\/19\/joe-biden-oil-gas-drilling-program-fossil-fuels\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Biden<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/presidential-actions\/2021\/01\/20\/executive-order-protecting-public-health-and-environment-and-restoring-science-to-tackle-climate-crisis\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">canceled<\/a> the Keystone XL pipeline permit upon taking office and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/presidential-actions\/2021\/01\/27\/executive-order-on-tackling-the-climate-crisis-at-home-and-abroad\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">issued<\/a> a moratorium on new federal oil and <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/04\/18\/joe-biden-clean-energy-fossil-fuels-taxes-economy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">gas<\/a> leasing, following up on a campaign <a href=\"https:\/\/www.atr.org\/joe-biden-we-are-going-get-rid-fossil-fuels\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">promise<\/a> to \u201cget rid of fossil fuels.\u201d <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/04\/29\/united-states-crude-oil-production-joe-biden\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Biden Admin Says Oil Production Is At Historic Levels.
