District Attorney Declines Felony Charges for Suspect in Dave Chappelle Hollywood Bowl Attack.\u201d Rogan said that when \u201cyou see a that a person\u201d \u201cobviously\u201d committed a \u201cclear crime\u201d and doesn\u2019t get charged, it\u2019s the kind of thing that \u201cmakes people lose faith in law enforcement.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen you see that a person commits a clear crime, and does it to one of the most loved performers alive, and does it in a very high profile public setting, and it gets captured on video, and you don\u2019t charge that person for what they obviously did, it\u2019s the kind of thing that makes people lose faith in law enforcement,\u201d the podcast host captioned his post.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s never good,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>The screenshot he shared included a quote from a spokesperson with the district attorney\u2019s office that read, \u201cProsecutors determined that while criminal conduct occurred, the evidence as presented did not constitute felony conduct.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rogans\u2019s post also included a repost of a comment from Saagar Enjeti, the co-host of \u201cThe Realignment\u201d podcast and \u201cBreaking Points with Krystal and Saagar,\u201d who asked, \u201cWhat does somebody need to do to actually get charged with a crime in LA?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The alleged attacker has been identified as Isaiah Lee, 23, of Los Angeles, as previously <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/man-who-allegedly-attacked-dave-chappelle-onstage-identified\">reported<\/a> by The Daily Wire.<\/p>\n<p>Lee was reportedly armed with a knife attached to a fake gun, LAPD spokesperson Lizeth Lomeli stated, reported the <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/05\/04\/dave-chappelle-attacker-isaiah-lee-23-booked-for-felony-assault\/?utm_medium=SocialFlow&#038;utm_campaign=SocialFlow&#038;utm_source=NYPTwitter\">New York Post,<\/a> which added, \u201cLee was booked just after 3:30 a.m. Wednesday and held on $30,000 bail, records show.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"instagram-media\" data-instgrm-permalink=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CdMcKt5MLK-\/?utm_source=ig_embed&#038;utm_campaign=loading\" data-instgrm-version=\"14\"><\/blockquote>\n<p>On Thursday, the host commented on the attack of fellow comedian <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/netflix-issues-statement-following-dave-chappelle-attack\">Chappelle<\/a> and told his audience of \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=lYvNi_ewd8U\">The Joe Rogan Experience<\/a>\u201d podcast that he talked to the superstar comedian after the attack.<\/p>\n<p>WATCH:<\/p>\n[embedded content]\n<p>\u201cSo, this f***ing Dave Chappelle thing is crazy,\u201d Rogan told his guest Tony Hinchcliffe. \u201cLast night, I guess it was, someone attacked him at the Hollywood Bowl. He\u2019s fine. I checked in with him today. He was laughing about it. He\u2019s in good spirits.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rogan and his guest then watched video that surfaced on social media of a person appearing to run on stage and trying to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/chappelle-assailant-had-knife-hidden-in-fake-gun-jamie-foxx-rushed-onto-stage-to-aid\">tackle Chappelle<\/a>, as the host called the suspect \u201ccrazy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cClearly there\u2019s something wrong with him,\u201d the podcast host shared. \u201cLook at, he just runs away. Oh my god, that guy\u2019s never tackled anybody in his life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rogan then reiterated his concern that this kind of thing was going to happen after Will Smith <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/will-smith-struck-chris-rock-in-the-face-at-oscars-after-he-cracked-a-joke-about-jada-pinkett-smiths-hair-loss\">slapped Chris Rock<\/a> at the 94th Academy Awards when the comedian cracked a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith\u2019s shaved head amid her hair loss battle.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter the Chris Rock thing, that was one of the things I was worried about,\u201d the host explained. \u201cAre people thinking they are going to start smacking comedians now if they don\u2019t like what they are saying?
