You know, made me feel seen, made me feel \u2026 like a million dollars,\u201d Heard said, her voice breaking. \u201cIt felt like a dream. It felt like, um, absolute magic.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd then he would disappear,\u201d she continued. \u201cAnd there would be just no way to get ahold of him, no way to contact him.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>\u201cThe Talented Mr. Ripley\u201d:<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cThe thing with Dickie, it\u2019s like the sun shines on you and it\u2019s glorious and then he forgets you and it\u2019s very, very cold,\u201d Marge said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo I\u2019m learning,\u201d Tom Ripley (played by Matt Damon) replied.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen you have his attention, you feel like you\u2019re the only person in the world, that\u2019s why everybody loves him.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Enough people circulated the fake quote, claiming that Heard had used the lines verbatim from the movie, that Snopes.com <a href=\"https:\/\/www.snopes.com\/fact-check\/amber-heard-johnny-depp-trial\/\">addressed the claim<\/a> in a fact-check published on Thursday.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The quote in question: &#8220;The thing with Johnny\u2026 it\u2019s like the sun shines on you, and it\u2019s glorious. And then he forgets you and it\u2019s very, very cold.&#8221;<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/SHpS9JQAJQ\">https:\/\/t.co\/SHpS9JQAJQ<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 snopes.com (@snopes) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/snopes\/status\/1522324018644361216?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 5, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Snopes noted that the claim \u2014 which alleged Heard had repeated the lines from the movie word-for-word during her opening statement on Wednesday \u2014 was suspect from the beginning since Heard had not made an opening statement at all. Her attorney delivered an opening statement on her behalf prior to her giving testimony.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe claim that Heard repeated these lines from \u2018The Talented Mr. Ripley\u2019 was presented on social media with no evidence.
