Wade<\/em> crusade.<\/p>\n<p>Beginning on Sunday, the group organized under the moniker \u201cRuth Sent Us\u201d will embark on a week-long demonstration, with plans to protest outside the homes of the six conservative Supreme Court justices, whose alleged addresses have been published on the group\u2019s website.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur 6-3 extremist Supreme Court routinely issues rulings that hurt women, racial minorities, LGBTQ+ and immigrant rights. We must rise up to force accountability using a diversity of tactics,\u201d reads the group\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ruthsent.us\/\">website<\/a>, advertising monetary compensation for recruits. \u201cAre you a muralist or chalk artist? Are you a graphic designer who would like to contribute remotely? Large-scale art will be included in the protests against the Supreme Court. Stipends available.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The protests come on the heels of a leaked February <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/05\/03\/before-finally-overturning-roe-supreme-court-must-block-yet-another-insurrection-attempt\/\">draft ruling<\/a> in which five out of six conservative judges concurred, with the majority draft opinion authored by Justice Samuel Alito to overturn <em>Roe v. Wade<\/em>. Justices Amy Coney Barrett, Brett Kavanaugh, Clarence Thomas, and Neil Gorsuch each reportedly joined the opinion, with Chief Justice John Roberts remaining undecided. <\/p>\n<p>The leaked opinion only offers a snapshot in time of the justices\u2019 thinking, however, with members of the bench still able to change their minds before the final ruling is published this summer. Roberts\u2019 home remains a target for protesters who aim to intimidate justices into safeguarding the nearly 50-year-old precedent ensuring abortion access.<\/p>\n<p>The leaked opinion, apparently intended to <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/05\/03\/the-only-reason-to-leak-that-scotus-opinion-is-to-bully-justices-into-submission\/\">foment public unrest<\/a> in support of the 1973 landmark case, has already successfully galvanized abortion advocates who staged protests at the Supreme Court this week and in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2022\/05\/03\/nyregion\/abortion-protest-new-york-supreme-court.html\">New York City<\/a>. In Los Angeles, demonstrations quickly turned into violence reminiscent of 2020 when protesters <a href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/california\/story\/2022-05-03\/downtown-los-angeles-roe-wade-protest\">clashed with police<\/a>. Law enforcement <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/massive-fence-supreme-court-abortion-draft\">erected<\/a> non-scalable fencing around the Supreme Court building ahead of more protests. <\/p>\n<p>Demonstrators with \u201cRuth Sent Us\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JCNSeverino\/status\/1522215533566783488?s=20&#038;t=6fOwAUkyXNlnh9vQadHi2g\">appear<\/a> to be coordinating with several allied activist groups including Code Pink, Kavanaugh Off Our Court, and Black Lives Matter. While the website advertises \u201cpeaceful protests,\u201d the recent memories of Black Lives Matter riots terrorizing the country remain fresh in the minds of the public as communities are <a href=\"https:\/\/minnesota.cbslocal.com\/2022\/03\/18\/lake-street-businesses-still-bouncing-back-after-civil-unrest-damage-pandemic\/\">still rebuilding<\/a>. This week\u2019s violence in Los Angeles offers little comfort.<\/p>\n<p>Harassment of conservative policymakers at their private homes has become an increasingly popular tactic among left-wing activists, who <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/09\/13\/abortion-protest-kavanaugh-home-maryland-activists\/\">demonstrated<\/a> at Kavanaugh\u2019s home in September over anxieties related to <em>Roe v. Wade<\/em>. Missouri Republican Sen. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shutdowndc.org\/updates\/shutdowndc-drops-in-on-senator-josh-hawleys-house-to-encourage-him-to-reconsider-his-attack-on-democracy\">Josh Hawley<\/a> and Fox News prime-time anchor <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/nation\/2018\/11\/08\/they-were-threatening-me-my-family-tucker-carlsons-home-targeted-by-protesters\/\">Tucker Carlson<\/a> have each also suffered from protesters staking out their D.C.-area residences. <\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n<p>\n  Tristan Justice is the western correspondent for The Federalist.
