Even Congress Doesn\u2019t Know"},"content":{"rendered":"<aside class=\"mashsb-container mashsb-main mashsb-stretched\"><div class=\"mashsb-box\"><div class=\"mashsb-count mash-medium\" style=\"float:left\"><div class=\"counts mashsbcount\">26<\/div><span class=\"mashsb-sharetext\">SHARES<\/span><\/div><div class=\"mashsb-buttons\"><a class=\"mashicon-facebook mash-medium mash-nomargin mashsb-noshadow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/sharer.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.conservativenewsdaily.net%2Fbreaking-news%2Fwhat-is-the-pentagon-hiding-about-its-ufo-program-even-congress-doesnt-know%2F\" target=\"_top\" rel=\"nofollow\"><span class=\"icon\"><\/span><span class=\"text\">Facebook<\/span><\/a><a class=\"mashicon-twitter mash-medium mash-nomargin mashsb-noshadow\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/intent\/tweet?text=&amp;url=https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/?p=1464582&amp;via=ConservNewsDly\" target=\"_top\" rel=\"nofollow\"><span class=\"icon\"><\/span><span class=\"text\">Twitter<\/span><\/a><a class=\"mashicon-subscribe mash-medium mash-nomargin mashsb-noshadow\" href=\"#\" target=\"_top\" rel=\"nofollow\"><span class=\"icon\"><\/span><span class=\"text\">Subscribe<\/span><\/a><div class=\"onoffswitch2 mash-medium mashsb-noshadow\" style=\"display:none\"><\/div><\/div>\n            <\/div>\n                <div style=\"clear:both\"><\/div><\/aside>\n            <!-- Share buttons by mashshare.net - Version: 4.0.47--><p>This past week, members of the Senate Intelligence and Armed Services committees received classified briefings on a topic that rises above mere national security, into interplanetary security and our deepest philosophical questions.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>These efforts are an attempt to get to the bottom of the military reports of Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon (UAP), or what the rest of us call UFOs.<\/p>\n<p>It shouldn\u2019t be shocking to any of us that it seems as though the Pentagon is less-than-interested in what they are charged to do by Congress.<\/p>\n<p>Which, by itself, should raise questions about what they know.<\/p>\n<h3>Slow Rolling Congress<\/h3>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2022\/05\/02\/ufo-briefings-congress-pentagon-00029315\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">National Defense Authorization Act<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0signed in December required the Pentagon to create the Anomaly Surveillance and Resolution Office. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">In addition, the Pentagon was given carte blanche to use \u201cany resource, capability, asset, or process\u201d to investigate UAPs. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">With this new office, an \u201cintelligence collection and analysis plan should be developed to gain as much knowledge as possible regarding the technical and operational characteristics, origins, and intentions of the unidentified aerial phenomenon.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Perhaps most importantly, the Pentagon must provide an annual report and semi-annual briefings to Congress on all UAP incidents such as \u201cassociated with military nuclear assets, including strategic nuclear weapons, nuclear-powered ships, and submarines.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>In other words, incidents involving possibly our very national survival.<\/p>\n<div id=\"subscribe\" class=\"email-signup inarticle\">\n<h4>Support Conservative Voices!<\/h4>\n<h5><strong>Sign up to receive the latest<\/strong> political news, insight, and commentary delivered directly to your inbox.<\/h5>\n<\/div>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">So lawmakers received a briefing, and let\u2019s just say they were underwhelmed by either the Pentagon\u2019s incuriosity, or reticence to disclose, or both. The consensus was that they were unimpressed with the lack of effort to determine the aircraft\u2019s origins. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Instead, what they received was apparently merely an acknowledgement of their existence, which we already knew, thanks mainly to Luis Elizondo.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">\ud83d\udea8 NEW: More than 1,300 pages of internal NASA <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/UAP?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#UAP<\/a>\/<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/UFO?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#UFO<\/a> related communications!<\/p>\n<p>I also found an event called \u201cExtreme Acceleration by UAPs\u201d by Robert Powell. <\/p>\n<p>Did NASA attend?<\/p>\n<p>Did Christopher Mellon, as scheduled? <\/p>\n<p>Oddly, secrecy surrounds it all.<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/iRd5BrE9sf\">https:\/\/t.co\/iRd5BrE9sf<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 John Greenewald, Jr. (@blackvaultcom) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/blackvaultcom\/status\/1521480963825430528?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 3, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/thepoliticalinsider.com\/dhs-chief-claims-worry-about-new-disinformation-governance-board-is-due-to-misinformation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">DHS Chief Claims Worry About New \u2018Disinformation Governance Board\u2019 Is Due To \u2018Misinformation\u2019<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>Can We Handle The Truth?<\/h3>\n<div class=\"image-wrap\"><\/div>\n<p>An <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2022\/05\/02\/ufo-briefings-congress-pentagon-00029315\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">aide<\/a> for Senator Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) said that his overall feeling of the Pentagon\u2019s report was:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cThey are not moving fast enough, not doing enough, not sharing enough.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) also was frustrated according to aides, but most vocal was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsnationnow.com\/on-balance-with-leland-vittert\/rep-tim-burchett-on-ufo-findings-its-a-bogus-cover-up\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Congressman Tim Burchett<\/a> (R-TN) who spoke directly to reporters regarding the briefing.\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t trust the Department of Defense to get this right since leadership there has always been part of a cover-up.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>He went on to say that:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cIt is clear from the public evidence that we don\u2019t have full control of our airspace.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Those are some strong statements to make \u2013 and if true, should shake our notion of security to its core.<\/p>\n<p>One implies that the Department of Defense can\u2019t be trusted with this subject, if not others. And we have a major national security issue of unknown (or, known but undisclosed) origins.<\/p>\n<p>So let\u2019s dissect a bit Congressman Burchett\u2019s incredible statements.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Rep. At hand is a need to standardize UAP incident reporting, collection, and analysis. Within the <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/media.defense.gov\/2021\/Nov\/23\/2002898596\/-1\/-1\/0\/ESTABLISHMENT-OF-THE-AIRBORNE-OBJECT-IDENTIFICATION-AND-MANAGEMENT-SYNCHRONIZATION-GROUP.PDF\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">memo<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, she directed the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security USD (I&#038;S) with this task. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Where have we heard of that office before?<\/span><\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s right, that\u2019s the same office formerly headed up by Garry Reid. The same Reid who was dismissed after investigations revealed he was carrying on inappropriate relationships with his subordinate, misusing his email and authority, and attempting to discredit Luis Elizondo.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/thepoliticalinsider.com\/the-truth-may-very-well-be-out-there\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Read More about Garry Reid here<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The latter, Elizondo, worked on the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP), which fell under Reid\u2019s purview. There is also speculation that the individual who has replaced Reid at USD (I&#038;S) is his former subordinate.<\/p>\n<p>So it doesn\u2019t seem like this office has a lot of credibility in this area and doesn\u2019t promote confidence in the seriousness that the Pentagon takes this office, let alone professionalism in the workplace.<\/p>\n<p>That needs to change if we\u2019re going to get answers.<\/p>\n<p>Luis Elizondo had the following to say when we asked him how he felt about this office being in charge:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cI vehemently applaud the idea of a centralized office to assess UAP related data provided that the individuals assigned that responsibility are committed to see through Congress\u2019 intent as prescribed by the recent law enacted concerning this topic. However, critical to its success will be ensuring that individuals who have been historically opposed to this effort not be given the ability to interfere with it solely based on the topic\u2019s perceived stigma or conflicts to personal philosophies. Ultimately, it is up to this new organization to represent the voice of Congress and the American people. As for now, it\u2019s too early to tell if that voice has been truly heard.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Of note and less related to little green men and more Earthbound, this same office was responsible for the Afghanistan Crisis Action Group, accountable for screening and resettling Afghans who worked with American troops.<\/p>\n<p>We all know how well that went; surely, they can handle tracking and analyzing potential space invaders.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m not worried. You\u2019re worried. Is it because they are hiding something? Is it because they think they are above the law? It\u2019s a bogus cover-up.
