The request form notes a response should be provided from the city\u2019s Property and Construction Management Department within 10 business days.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMayor Michelle Wu\u2019s office declined to comment on the group\u2019s request other than to say it\u2019s reviewing the high court\u2019s decision while also evaluating its flag-raising program,\u201d the Associated Press <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/us-supreme-court-religion-boston-massachusetts-37ddcf21ee814cf3affd0f1e36d59f4b\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a> on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>The Supreme Court gave its opinion on Monday, overturning a lower court decision in favor of the city. The ruling <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/boston-illegally-rejected-request-to-fly-christian-flag-supreme-court-rules\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">determined<\/a> that, contrary to arguments made by city attorneys, the city\u2019s flag-waving program constituted an expression of private speech, not government speech, and therefore could not limit participants based on Establishment Clause concerns.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe conclude that, on balance, Boston did not make the raising and flying of private groups\u2019 flags a form of government speech.
