We had Doug Marrone here four years. We had Gus Bradley here four years. I have nothing but the utmost respect and friendship with them. That\u2019s why they got the time, because it wasn\u2019t a matter about respect or truth. It was a matter of wins and losses over four years. This is much bigger than that.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Khan fired Meyer following the final round of embarrassing news coming out of Meyer\u2019s short stint in Jacksonville. The final straw was a report that Meyer kicked former Jaguars kicker Josh Lambo at a Jaguars practice, imploring Lambo to \u201cmake your f***ing kicks!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cI\u2019m in a lunge position. Left leg forward, right leg back,\u201d Lambo <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tampabay.com\/sports\/bucs\/2021\/12\/15\/former-jaguars-kicker-josh-lambo-says-he-was-kicked-by-urban-meyer-during-warmups\/?utm_campaign=SocialFlow&#038;utm_source=twitter&#038;utm_content=%40TBTimes_Sports&#038;utm_medium=social\"><span>said<\/span><\/a>,<span> according to The Tampa Bay Times. \u201c\u2026 Urban Meyer, while I\u2019m in that stretch position, comes up to me and says, \u2018Hey Dips***, make your f***ing kicks!\u2019 And kicks me in the leg.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Lambo characterized the kick as a \u201cfive (out of 10),\u201d and then reportedly told Meyer, \u201c\u2018Don\u2019t you ever f***ing kick me again!\u201d Meyer allegedly responded by saying, \u201cI\u2019m the head ball coach. I\u2019ll kick you whenever the f*** I want.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Meyer denied the allegations, saying Lambo\u2019s story was \u201ccompletely inaccurate.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Lambo told the newspaper that Meyer approached him the next day at the team facility, telling Lambo he would be off the team if he spoke to Meyer in the same manner again. The Jaguars released the kicker on October 19 after he missed three field goals and two PATs in three games.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Before the report by The Tampa Bay Times, reports surfaced that tensions within the locker room were boiling over, with Meyer and wide receiver Marvin Jones reportedly getting into a shouting match at practice due to Meyer\u2019s criticism of the receiver group. Additionally, reports surfaced that Meyer blasted his coaching staff for being \u201closers,\u201d challenging them to defend their resumes and prove to him when they\u2019ve ever won.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>In October, video of Meyer surfaced at a bar with a young woman \u2014 who was not his wife \u2014 grinding against him. Meyer apologized to the team, but Khan said he would have to \u201cregain our trust and respect.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>According to USA Today Sports, Meyer and the Jaguars have yet to reach a settlement on the rest of Meyer\u2019s five-year contract worth between $10-$12 million per year.<\/p>\n<p><i>Joe Morgan is the Sports Reporter for The Daily Wire.
