Wade<\/em> were overturned.<\/p>\n<p>Driver made an appearance on Wednesday\u2019s broadcast of the ABC midday talk show \u201cThe View,\u201d and she weighed in on the fallout of the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailywire.com\/news\/i-am-angry-elizabeth-warren-loses-it-over-leaked-supreme-court-draft-axing-roe\/\">unprecedented leak<\/a> of an early opinion draft indicating that the U.S. Supreme Court might be preparing to <a href=\"https:\/\/dailywire.com\/news\/flashback-senator-joe-biden-supported-a-constitutional-amendment-to-allow-states-to-overturn-roe-v-wade\/\">overturn<\/a> both\u00a0<em>Roe<\/em> and it\u2019s successor,\u00a0<em>Planned Parenthood v. Casey<\/em>.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">.<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/driverminnie?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@driverminnie<\/a> on the leaked draft that would overturn Roe v. Wade: \u201cWhat we\u2019re talking about being leaked, we need to know that. We need to know that we are so far down the line on something that affects us.\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/cVclFZQmjA\">https:\/\/t.co\/cVclFZQmjA<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/PCzsxFGwyA\">pic.twitter.com\/PCzsxFGwyA<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 The View (@TheView) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TheView\/status\/1521896286525472771?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 4, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Co-host Whoopi Goldberg introduced the topic, asking for Driver\u2019s take on the leak and what it meant for women.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEarlier we were talking about the draft opinion that would overturn <em>Roe v. Wade<\/em>. So much is being said about who leaked it. Do you think it matters who leaked it?\u201d she asked.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt wasn\u2019t me,\u201d Driver insisted, prompting laughs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cListen. I mean, it\u2019s been astonishing watching you have this conversation, and I know it\u2019s happening all around America and everywhere,\u201d Driver continued, noting that the leak itself was concerning and should be addressed, but that people should also be concerned about the content that was leaked.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe need to know that we are so far down the line on something that affects us,\u201d she argued.<\/p>\n<p>Driver went on to say that she had gotten a text from a friend, knowing that this particular topic was likely to arise while she was a guest on \u201cThe View.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy friend wrote to me and she said when \u2014 if I want to donate my organs after I die, I have to sign so much documentation to say that you can have my marrow, my organs after I die \u2014 which means that if you overturn <em>R<\/em><em>oe v. Wade<\/em>, literally a corpse has more rights than a living, breathing woman, a person,\u201d Driver continued.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think what you were saying, Whoopi, about \u2014 it\u2019s a very, very slippery slope. You start taking away rights,\u201d she added. \u201cYou know it goes all the way back to \u2014 it\u2019s interesting, like, being British. I feel Jefferson has an enormous amount to do with this.
