Adam Schiff, CNN, The Daily Beast and Politico, saying they falsely accused him of peddling Russian disinformation.<\/p>\n<p>The former shop owner, John Paul Mac Isaac, decided to fight back after losing his business and being harassed for 18 months by Big Tech, the media and Delaware locals in President Biden\u2019s home state.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter fighting to reveal the truth, all I want now is for the rest of the country to know that there was a collective and orchestrated effort by social and mainstream media to block a real story with real consequences for the nation,\u201d the 45-year-old Mac Isaac told The Post.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis was collusion led by 51 former pillars in the intelligence community and backed by words and actions of a politically motivated DOJ and FBI,\u201d he continued. \u201cI want this lawsuit to reveal that collusion and more importantly, who gave the marching orders.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mac Isaac came to legally own the laptop after Biden\u2019s son Hunter dropped it off at his store for repairs in April 2019 and never came back. The material on the laptop has raised serious questions about what Biden knew of his son\u2019s overseas business deals, during which he and the president\u2019s brother, Jim Biden, often invoked his powerful name.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>After handing over a copy of the laptop\u2019s hard drive to the FBI in December 2019, eight months later Mac Isaac alerted then-President Donald Trump\u2019s lawyer Rudy Giuliani, who provided a copy of the hard drive to The Post.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/05\/hunter-biden-repairman-lawsuit-feat-image.jpg\"><\/a><figcaption>John Paul Mac Isaac \u2014 the Delaware computer repairman who turned over Hunter Biden\u2019s laptop \u2014 is suing Rep. Then Schiff and <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/04\/06\/gop-demands-experts-who-dismissed-hunter-biden-laptop-fess-up\/\">51 former intelligence officials labeled the laptop Russian disinformation<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In the aftermath, Mac Isaac says his business and reputation was ruined. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cTwitter initially labeled my action hacking, so for the first day after my information was leaked, I was bombarded with hate mail and death threats revolving around the idea that I was a hacker, a thief and a criminal,\u201d Mac Isaac said. <\/p>\n<p>Schiff, who chairs the House Intelligence Committee, \u201chas some explaining\u201d to do, Mac Isaac insisted.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWithout any intel, the head of the intel committee decided to share with CNN and its viewers a complete and utter lie,\u201d Mac Isaac said. \u201cA lie issued in the protection of a preferred presidential candidate.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/05\/hunter-biden-repairman-lawsuit-08.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"669\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/hunter-biden-repairman-lawsuit-08.jpg\" alt=\"Mac Isaac said Schiff shared a \" complete and utter lie \/><\/a><figcaption>Mac Isaac said Schiff shared a \u201ccomplete and utter lie\u201d during a CNN appearance.<\/figcaption><figcaption><span class=\"credit\">Photo by David Livingston\/Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Mac Isaac said he\u2019s since endured false accusations of being a Russian spy and a \u201cstooge\u201d for Russian President Vladimir Putin.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe fight to get to the bottom of who told everyone this was Russian disinformation is far more important for the nation than me clearing my name,\u201d Mac Isaac said.<\/p>\n<p>In the suit, which was filed in Montgomery County, Md., Mac Isaac claims Schiff defamed him in an interview on CNN two days after The Post began publishing revelations from the laptop. <\/p>\n<p>In the interview with Wolf Blitzer, Schiff told the CNN host \u2014 without citing evidence \u2014 that he believed \u201cthe Kremlin\u201d was behind a smear of Joe and Hunter Biden. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWell we know that this whole smear on Joe Biden comes from the Kremlin. He went into exile in Colorado for a year.<\/p>\n<p>The suit claims CNN knowingly broadcast the \u201cfalse and defamatory story\u201d that the laptop was linked to a Russian disinformation campaign, causing Mac Isaac significant damage, including the closing of his repair shop. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cCNN\u2019s broadcast of the false statement accuses the Plaintiff of committing an<br \/>infamous crime, i.e., treason by working with the Russians to commit a crime against the United States of America by attempting to undermine American democracy and the 2020 Presidential election,\u201d the suit states. <\/p>\n<p>Similarly, Mac Isaac accuses the Daily Beast and Politico of peddling disinformation about the laptop in two articles published on both sites. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The Daily Beast claimed the laptop was \u201cpurloined\u201d \u2014 which Mac Isaac says alleges he stole the computer \u2014 in an article headlined \u201cFBI Examining Hunter\u2019s Laptop as Foreign Op, Contradicting Trump\u2019s Intel Czar,\u201d the suit states. <\/p>\n<p>And in an infamous story in Politico, the website reported dozens of former intel officials believe the laptop to be \u201cRussian disinfo.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe article was written by journalist Natasha Bertrand, who seemingly has a history of transforming speculation into fact in the stories upon which she reports,\u201d the suit states. <\/p>\n<p>His attorney Brian Della Rocca\u00a0said Mac Isaac is seeking \u201cat least $1 million in compensatory damages [and] punitive damages which will be the much bigger number and will be determined at trial.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a statements spread about those who brought the information on Hunter Biden\u2019s laptop to everyone\u2019s attention,\u201d Della Rocca said.\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe has lost his business, friendships, and his honorable standing in his community,\u201d the attorney continued. \u201cThis lawsuit is to attempt to repair a small portion of that damage caused by the defendants in the suit \u2026 We intend to show that their actions were intentionally malicious.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mac Isaac tried unsuccessfully to sue Twitter for defamation last year and was lumbered with the tech giant\u2019s legal bills \u2014 an amount he says is roughly $175,000.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a
