Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez\u2019s (D-NY) enthusiasm for President Biden\u2019s student loan debt cancellation plans, calling her an \u201centitled sponge.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ocasio-Cortez had been asked how Biden\u2019s plans would benefit those who had paid off their student loans. She answered, \u201cI\u2019ve said it before and I\u2019ll say it again: Not every program has to be for everybody.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPeople with apartments pay for first-time homeowner benefits \u2026 young people pay for Medicare for our seniors,\u201d she patronized. \u201cPeople who take public transit pay for car infrastructure.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI pay for everything, I get nothing. Nothing!\u201d Gutfeld began. \u201cNo, I love how she explains it. They\u2019re not meant for you. Right. But then you have to ask, \u2018Okay, then what is this debt forgiveness? Who is it meant for?\u2019\u201d he pointed out.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd when you look at the data, it\u2019s upper white, middle class, liberal women. This ain\u2019t welfare, right?\u201d he noted. \u201cThese are well-to-do people. It\u2019s a bribe for Democrats on the backs of plumbers, truckers, and everyone else who actually does a real job. Unlike me, AOC is the symbol of the entitled sponge. She complains about student loans, but she owns a Tesla, and worse, she owns a French bulldog.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTurn in the Tesla; sell the dog. I\u2019ll buy it at half price,\u201d he suggested.<\/p>\n<p>In December 2021, Gutfeld <a href=\"https:\/\/dailywire.com\/news\/thats-something-i-would-go-to-war-for-greg-gutfeld-is-a-hard-pass-on-canceling-student-loans\/\">harshly criticized<\/a> Democrats calling for student loan debt cancellation, snapping, \u201cYou know what? Screw you! No one has to pay your damn debt! That\u2019s on\u00a0<em>you<\/em>! It is not a moral obligation on anybody for the decisions that you made.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhy don\u2019t we do car loan debt? \u2026 that\u2019s more for the working class than for these overeducated, over-caffeinated idiots,\u201d he continued. \u201cBut you put that on taxpayers, I will join the Army because you ain\u2019t making me pay for your stupid [debt].\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In late 2021, Ocasio-Cortez stated on the House floor that it was \u201cridiculous\u201d that she needed to pay $17,000 in student loans. \u201cI\u2019m 32 years old now,\u201d she said. \u201cI have over $17,000 in student loan debt, and I didn\u2019t go to graduate school because I knew that getting another degree would drown me in debt that I would never be able to surpass.
