The pro-abortion counter protestors were allowed to remain at the same location for an additional 20 minutes,\u201d the YAF <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yaf.org\/news\/saint-louis-university-removes-elisha-krauss-from-campus-irate-leftists-protest-her-sidewalk-demonstration\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe free speech demonstration was initiated after SLU refused to sign a contract for an official on-campus event featuring Krauss for four weeks. Krauss was scheduled to speak on the dangers on cancel culture,\u201d the report added.<\/p>\n<p>The YAF has tweeted that it plans to investigate the university\u2019s double standard of denying free speech on its campus.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The double standards of the Left in FULL VIEW at this \u201cCatholic\u201d university. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SLU_Official?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@SLU_Official<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ElishaKrauss?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@ElishaKrauss<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/X0R2jBJaXV\">pic.twitter.com\/X0R2jBJaXV<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 YAF (@yaf) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/yaf\/status\/1521585045777039362?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 3, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Nick Baker, chairman of SLU YAF, said the university\u2019s behavior was shameful, according to YAF\u2019s report.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor a university that is \u2018committed to freedom of expression,\u2019 it is shameful that there are so many hurdles in place to prevent speakers from appearing on campus. Unfortunately, these tyrannical administrators have scared so many conservative students into hiding. Our YAF chapter is slowly but surely working to turn things around,\u201d he said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>The leftist attack was not the first at Saint Louis University. In December, Daily Wire host Matt Walsh <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/watch-matt-walsh-greets-scores-of-protesters-outside-his-st-louis-event-poses-one-simple-question\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">confronted<\/a> scores of demonstrators protesting his lecture.<\/p>\n<p>A crowd of anti-Walsh protesters demanded that The Daily Wire host and bestselling children\u2019s book author cancel the event, a speech for students of St. Louis University. The protesters blocked a street immediately outside the venue and chanted slogans such as \u201cHey-hey, ho-ho, Matt Walsh has got to go!\u201d and \u201cblack lives matter!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>At one point during the protest, Walsh walked out of the venue accompanied by law enforcement to speak with the protesters. The Daily Wire host was met with boos, chants, and one man screaming, \u201cDo not come over here!\u201d The crowd took several steps back as Walsh approached.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI went out to say hi to my protesters and give them a chance to answer my \u2018what is a woman\u2019 question.
