Wade<\/em> is overturned.<\/p>\n<p>The draft majority opinion, which is not final, says <em>Roe v. Wade<\/em> was egregiously wrong. \u201cWe hold that <i>Roe<\/i> and <i>Casey<\/i> must be overruled,\u201d Justice Samuel Alito wrote, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2022\/05\/02\/supreme-court-abortion-draft-opinion-00029473\">according to Politico<\/a>. \u201cIt is time to heed the Constitution and return the issue of abortion to the people\u2019s elected representatives.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The unprecedented leak has sent shockwaves throughout Washington, with many commentators noting that a draft decision has never been publicly released in the modern history of the court.<\/p>\n<p>But Demand Justice Executive Director Brian Fallon praised the leak, saying, \u201cSCOTUS leaks are good. Elite lawyers on both the left and right treating the Court as precious all these years have just been giving cover to an institution that is wholly unaccountable. We should listen.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Is a brave clerk taking this unpredecented step of leaking a draft opinion to warn the country what&#8217;s coming in a last-ditch Hail Mary attempt to see if the public response might cause the Court to reconsider?<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Brian Fallon (@brianefallon) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/brianefallon\/status\/1521292404397162497?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 3, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>He added in a separate tweet: \u201cIs a brave clerk taking this unpredecented [sic] step of leaking a draft opinion to warn the country what\u2019s coming in a last-ditch Hail Mary attempt to see if the public response might cause the Court to reconsider?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Fallon, a former top aide to Senate Majority Leader Schumer (D-NY), heads an organization that has heavily advocated for packing the court and Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson\u2019s nomination to the highest court in the nation.<\/p>\n<p>He did not immediately respond to a request for comment from The Daily Wire.<\/p>\n<p>Experts <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/smear-campaign-leftist-activists-seek-to-intimidate-justices-control-the-court-experts-say\">have told<\/a> The Daily Wire that Demand Justice and other organizations with ties to the dark money mothership Arabella Advisors subject both conservative Supreme Court nominees and justices to character assassinations, threats of retaliation, attacks on their legitimacy, and more.<\/p>\n<p>Judicial Crisis Network and its president, Carrie Severino, have accused these groups of doing \u201ceverything in their power to\u00a0corrupt the judiciary and the judicial nominations process.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Late Monday evening, Severino stressed to The Daily Wire that the leak poses a serious threat to the institutional integrity of the Court.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat type of leak is an outrageous betrayal of trust,\u201d she said, adding,\u00a0\u201cThe Supreme Court is the only institution in town that doesn\u2019t leak, and to do this is a real attack on the institution of the court.
