Wade.<\/p>\n<p>Politico <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2022\/05\/02\/supreme-court-abortion-draft-opinion-00029473\">reported<\/a> Monday evening on an \u201cinitial draft majority opinion\u201d written by Justice Samuel Alito. The apparent draft opinion indicates that as of now, the majority of justices could vote to overturn the 1973 landmark decision that deemed abortion is <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2019\/06\/09\/abortion-michigan-hotel\/\">protected<\/a> under the U.S. Constitution.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/10\/29\/joe-biden-did-not-discuss-abortion-pope-francis-told-keep-receiving-communion\/\">Biden<\/a> began his lengthy statement responding to the news by highlighting the \u201ccritical caveat\u201d that it remains unclear \u201cwhether this draft is genuine, or whether it reflects the final decision of the Court.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He continued on to make \u201cthree points about the cases before the Supreme Court,\u201d ending with a call to action for voters.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThird, if the Court does overturn Roe<em>, <\/em>it will fall on our nation\u2019s elected officials at all levels of government to protect a woman\u2019s right to choose,\u201d Biden said. \u201cAnd it will fall on voters to elect pro-choice officials this November. At the federal level, we will need more pro-choice Senators and a pro-choice majority in the House to adopt legislation that codifies Roe<em>, <\/em>which I will work to pass and sign into law.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Biden\u2019s push to get voters to the polls for the midterms coincides with growing concern over how Democrats may fare come November. This law <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/01\/21\/texas-heartbeat-act-supreme-court-abortion-law-roe-wade\/\">means<\/a> to ban most <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2019\/09\/04\/bernie-sanders-abortion-climate-change\/\">abortions<\/a> following around six weeks of a pregnancy.<\/p>\n<p>The president noted that following this law, he directed his administration \u201cto prepare options for an Administration response to the continued attack on abortion and reproductive rights, under a variety of possible outcomes in the cases pending before the Supreme Court.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe will be ready when any ruling is issued,\u201d the president vowed.<\/p>\n<p>Biden also noted that his administration \u201cargued strongly before the Court in defense of Roe v.
