Zero.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThank goodness, phew,\u201d Musk continued the joke. \u201cFor a second there I was worried.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The host went on to point out that some critics had wondered why Musk chose to buy a <a href=\"https:\/\/dailywire.com\/news\/elon-musk-delivers-6-word-response-after-william-shatner-asks-to-be-twitters-new-face\/\">social media platform<\/a> when he could have used the money to do something more philanthropic.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWell, I do do a lot of things philanthropically,\u201d Musk replied. \u201cReally, my companies are intended to do good for the future of humanity, with Tesla trying to accelerate the advent of sustainable transport and energy. And SpaceX is providing internet to the least served people around the world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe best space company in the world,\u201d Maye interrupted then, repeating, \u201cIn the world!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd also what you\u2019ve done for Ukraine as well,\u201d the host added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYeah,\u201d Musk agreed. \u201cAbsolutely. So we were able to help Ukraine with the Starling terminals and give them <a href=\"https:\/\/dailywire.com\/news\/elon-musk-announces-starlink-terminals-sent-to-ukraine-wont-take-certain-actions-unless-forced-at-gunpoint\/\">connectivity<\/a> in particularly some of the hardest hit areas.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo aspirationally, I am trying to do good for humanity and the future of civilization,\u201d he concluded.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhere did you get this mentality?\u201d the host asked, turning to Maye and asking, \u201cWhere did your son get this mentality?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI told him not to take on the world and the universe, and he didn\u2019t listen,\u201d Maye laughed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cClearly, not listening to mom,\u201d the host laughed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDoesn\u2019t listen to his mom,\u201d Maye agreed.<\/p>\n<p>The host turned back to Musk with one final question \u2014 namely, why he felt that it was important to attend an event like the Met Gala with all of the other things he had going on in his businesses and his life.<\/p>\n<p>Maye interrupted again, answering for him: \u201cI wanted him to come.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYeah,\u201d Musk laughed. \u201cMy mom wanted to come, so I brought my mom.
