Hice <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediaite.com\/tv\/man-sues-cnns-don-lemon-for-alleged-assault-at-sag-harbor-bar\/\">said<\/a> in a lawsuit that Lemon shoved his hand in Hice\u2019s face after Lemon stuck his hands down his own pants and \u201cvigorously\u201d rubbed his genitals.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter a lot of inner reflection and a deep dive into my memory, I have come to realize that my recollection of the events that occurred on the night in question when I first met CNN anchor Don Lemon were not what I thought they were when I filed this lawsuit,\u201d Hice said in a <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DylanByers\/status\/1521250873891909634\">statement<\/a> on Monday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>Lemon denied the allegation, and his legal team have characterized Hice\u2019s allegation as extortion. The CNN host\u2019s attorney echoed the assertion in a statement following Hice\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThankfully, Mr. Hice was finally able to access his memory and recollect the correct version of events on the night when he approached Don Lemon,\u201d the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DylanByers\/status\/1521250973674471425\">statement<\/a> said. \u201cThis has been a long and difficult journey for Don. Out of respect for the judicial process and my advice, he has had to remain silent in the face of a malicious and vulgar attack on his character. Unfortunately, being a gay Black man in the media, he has had to deal with these sorts of attacks for quite some time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Court\u2019s ruling fully vindicates Mr. Lemon and brings and end to this abusive lawsuit. This case was a crass money grab from its inception. Mr. Lemon has never paid the plaintiff a dime over the course of this unfortunate spectacle, and he is looking forward to moving on with his life,\u201d the statement continued. \u201cI hope that many in the media have learned their lesson on misreporting the facts and jumping to conclusions. The reporting on this story by many outlets has been a case-study in unethical and uninformed reporting.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cunethical and uninformed\u201d reporting knocked by Lemon\u2019s attorney may be a shot at Megyn Kelly, host of \u201cThe Megyn Kelly Show,\u201d who put the spotlight on Hice\u2019s allegations by having him on her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Kdy5z1DPq1Y\">show<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Hice appeared on Kelly\u2019s show in November of last year and said, after a question from Kelly, that Lemon is likely a repeat offender of sexual misconduct and assault.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnybody that acts like that in public without any fear of what it might do to somebody or the consequences it might have, that\u2019s a pattern,\u201d Hice <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2021\/11\/08\/accuser-details-sex-assault-allegations-against-cnns-don-lemon\/\">told<\/a> Kelly.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI wouldn\u2019t be surprised,\u201d he added. \u201cHe\u2019s protected by the fact that he\u2019s African American, gay man on television and I\u2019m just some nobody.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>The Daily Wire is one of America\u2019s fastest growing conservative media companies for breaking news, investigative reporting, sports, podcasts, in-depth analysis, books, and entertainment for a reason: because we believe in what we do.
