And, I\u2019m not kidding you, $1,100, $1,200.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMost people, all we can think about is the price for us at a relative terms know it\u2019s awful,\u201d he added. \u201cWhen you put $1,200 in your gas tank and just six months ago it was costing you $600 or 700, the exponential reality of it is starting to sink in. You just can\u2019t walk that back. It touches every single thing that matters in this country. From food production to transportation \u2026 all of it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When the host asked <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/mike-rowe-says-theres-a-line-between-civilization-and-anarchy-its-thin-and-blue-in-tribute-to-law-enforcement\">Rowe<\/a> if truckers believe the pain at the pump is because of Putin, he said the ones he knows aren\u2019t buying it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe guys I know in this business \u2026 [A] guy said to me the other day, it\u2019s like \u2026 falling down the stairs in slow motion. \u2026 We know it\u2019s coming,\u201d Mike explained. \u201cWe\u2019re watching it happen. It\u2019s happening in real time, and it\u2019s not just diesel. It\u2019s not just gasoline \u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you bring it back to food, and tonight\u2019s episode is all about beef production in this country, and it\u2019s an eye-opener,\u201d he added. \u201cBut you have to talk about fertilizer too. \u2026 There\u2019s no food without fertilizer in this country. The cost of fertilizer is hundreds, hundreds of percent higher than it was. When you combine that with the cost of energy, the average person has now really gotten the memo, but not from the gas pump, from a restaurant, a steak.
