The transaction has sparked conversations and fears over how the platform will change once the deal is closed, ABC News <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/Business\/wireStory\/elon-musks-big-plans-twitter-84426791\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Facebook post claims Musk fired Twitter\u2019s board of directors. \u201cElon Musk just F-I-R-E-D the entire Twitter Board of Directors,\u201d the post reads. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2022\/04\/29\/fact-check-musk-trump-dumbass-tweet\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Did Elon Musk Call Donald Trump A \u2018Dumbass\u2019 On Twitter?)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The claim is inaccurate. There are no credible <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=elon+musk+fire+board+of+directors&#038;oq=elon+musk+fire+board+of+directors&#038;aqs=chrome..69i57j0i22i30l2j0i390l3j69i61.7718j1j4&#038;sourceid=chrome&#038;ie=UTF-8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">news reports<\/a> suggesting Musk has made such a move or is planning to do so. Likewise, no such announcement appears on Musk\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/elonmusk\/with_replies\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Twitter account<\/a> or on Twitter\u2019s company <a href=\"https:\/\/about.twitter.com\/en\/who-we-are\/our-company\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Musk has yet to take control of the company. While the company board unanimously accepted the offer, the deal still has to be approved by Twitter\u2019s shareholders and not be challenged by government regulators, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/Technology\/wireStory\/explainer-now-twitter-agreed-musk-bid-84303497\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ABC News<\/a>. The deal is expected to clear regulatory hurdles without much difficulty, the outlet reported.<\/p>\n<p>Musk has floated the idea of reducing the board\u2019s compensation to $0, which he claims will save the company $3 million a year, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2022\/04\/18\/musk-twitter-board-will-be-paid-nothing-if-he-acquires-the-company.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">CNBC<\/a>.
