In addition, I would say that if you are in a district that Biden carried by less than 15-20 points, you\u2019re in great danger as a Democrat,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>The Senate is currently in a 50-50 tie with Democrats in the lead as Vice President Kamala Harris carries the tiebreaking vote.<\/p>\n<p>Walker faces Georgia Democratic Sen. Raphael Warnock, who narrowly defeated Republican Sen. Kelly Loeffler in a January 2021 runoff election.<\/p>\n<p>Gingrich also predicted that California Republican Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy would be the next Speaker of the House, taking the place of current House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKevin McCarthy will be speaker, and I think he will do an amazingly good job,\u201d Gingrich added.<\/p>\n<p>The remarks followed Gingrich\u2019s comments earlier in the interview that expressed concern over Biden\u2019s cognitive state, which might have contributed to his historically low approval ratings.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs a citizen, all of us have to worry about having a commander-in-chief who at a minimum seems to be confused a lot and at a maximum may well have a serious cognitive problem,\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat should bother all of us way beyond politics, and it\u2019s clearly obvious every single week with President Biden,\u201d Gingrich added.<\/p>\n<p>The former House speaker also took to Twitter on Monday to share his hope for the future of the conservative movement in America.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf conservatives can build a performance-based message on the themes of Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan, we can govern with a long-term, stable American majority rather than a shorter-lived Republican majority,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">If conservatives can build a performance-based message on the themes of Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan, we can govern with a long-term, stable American majority rather than a shorter-lived Republican majority.<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/VIGrrL8ftR\">https:\/\/t.co\/VIGrrL8ftR<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Newt Gingrich (@newtgingrich) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/newtgingrich\/status\/1521170693945241609?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 2, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The predictions come following a warning last month by former Democratic presidential candidate and Massachusetts Democratic\u00a0<span class=\"ArticlePage-articleBody-firstLetter\">S<\/span>en.
