The poll notes that 68 percent of likely voters disapprove of President Joe Biden&#8217;s approach to combating inflation. Democrats also lag behind Republicans by 12 points on their ability to handle crime\u2014the GOP&#8217;s highest trust rating on the issue since the 1990s.<\/p>\n<p>The poll comes as midterm races have become more competitive in recent weeks. <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/elections\/more-evidence-house-democrats-are-in-for-a-shellacking-this-november\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Eleven races moved in favor of Republicans<\/a> in April, according to the UVA Center for Politics.
