Ohio Senate (GOP Primary \u2013 May 3)<\/h4>\n<p>No candidate has been able to secure a sustainable lead in Ohio\u2019s contentious primary for retiring Republican Sen. Rob Portman\u2019s seat. While investment banker Mike Gibbons and former state Treasurer Josh Mandel have been the two frontrunners, President Donald Trump\u2019s endorsement of author J.D. Vance has <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/04\/27\/jd-vances-donald-trump-lead-poll\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reshaped<\/a> the race.<\/p>\n<p>Vance\u2019s portion of the vote doubled in a Fox News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/official-polls\/fox-news-poll-vance-moves-top-spot-ohio-gop-senate-primary\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">poll<\/a> released Tuesday, surpassing his competitors. With 25% of primary voters undecided in the poll, there is still a large portion of the vote for any candidate to win over.<\/p>\n<h4>2. Pennsylvania Senate (GOP Primary \u2013 May 17)<\/h4>\n<p>Trump similarly waded into the competitive GOP primary for retiring Republican Sen. Pat Toomey\u2019s seat, <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/04\/09\/donald-trump-endorses-mehmet-oz-pennsylvania-senate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">endorsing<\/a> former talk show host Dr. Mehmet Oz. Similar to Vance, Oz received a polling bump after the endorsement.<\/p>\n<p>Mehmet\u2019s opinions prior to running as a Republican have <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/04\/13\/laura-ingraham-trump-hannity-endorsement-dr-oz-mistake\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">concerned<\/a> some conservatives. In the past, Oz has discussed <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/11\/15\/red-flag-gun-laws-infrequently-used\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">red flag<\/a> laws and said a fetal heart is not beating at six weeks gestation. Fox News host Laura Ingraham asked former Trump-era senior counsel Kellyanne Conway if the move was a mistake.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think that it confused many Republicans and conservatives in Pennsylvania because they\u2019ve seen Oz at his own words on video about [being] against guns, for abortion, praising Hillary Clinton as one of the most brilliant women, smartest women he\u2019s ever met, being for Obamacare and so on and so forth,\u201d Conway said.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to Trump\u2019s endorsement, David McCormick, former U.S. Under Secretary of the Treasury for International Affairs and CEO of Bridgewater Associates, led most <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realclearpolitics.com\/epolls\/2022\/senate\/pa\/pennsylvania_senate_republican_primary-7485.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">polling<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h4>3. Pennsylvania Senate (DEM Primary \u2013 May 17)<\/h4>\n<p>On the opposite side of the aisle, Rep. Conor Lamb, a moderate Democrat, is struggling to compete with Lt. Gov. John Fetterman, a progressive. The Pennsylvania Democratic Party chose not to endorse any candidate this election cycle after Lamb fell short of receiving two-thirds of the state committee votes, which was needed to secure its backing, Politico <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2022\/01\/29\/pennsylvania-democrats-decline-to-endorse-senate-00003442\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Fetterman defended himself against heavy criticism during an April debate after his primary opponents said a 2013 incident where the lieutenant governor pulled a shotgun on an unarmed black man was disqualifying, Politico <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2022\/04\/21\/fetterman-first-televised-debate-00027118\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI heard a burst of gunfire with my young son. I made a split-second decision to call 911, get my son to safety, and intercept an individual, the only individual out running from where the gunfire came,\u201d Fetterman said at the debate, Politico reported. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/04\/26\/donald-trump-jd-vance-mehmet-oz-nancy-mace\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: These Are The States Where Trump\u2019s Endorsement Actually Matters)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_7419858\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\">\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-7419858\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">U.S. Rep. Georgia Governor (GOP Primary \u2013 May 24)<\/h4>\n<p>Incumbent Republican Gov. Brian Kemp normally would not be facing a stiff primary challenge, but former President Donald Trump\u2019s frustration with him for refusing to overturn President Joe Biden\u2019s win in the 2020 presidential election has put a spotlight on the race.<\/p>\n<p>Trump endorsed former Sen. David Perdue, but Kemp has thus far maintained a solid lead. An April poll from Emerson College commissioned by The Hill <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/news\/campaign\/3260567-georgia-incumbents-kemp-raffensperger-lead-trump-backed-challengers-poll\/?rl=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">showed<\/a>\u00a0Kemp leading with 43% percent of the vote, compared to Perdue\u2019s 35%.<\/p>\n<p>The winner will most likely face off against Democrat Stacey Abrams, who lost to Kemp in the 2018 gubernatorial race and has since <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/04\/05\/how-much-money-stacey-abrams-make-millionaire-net-worth\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">built a national profile<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h4>5. Texas Attorney General (GOP Runoff \u2013 May 24)<\/h4>\n<p>Republican Texas Land Commissioner George P. Bush will face incumbent state Attorney General Ken Paxton in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2022\/03\/01\/politics\/2022-texas-primary-election-key-races\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">runoff<\/a> because neither candidate was able to secure a majority of the March primary vote. Despite his family\u2019s contentious relationship with Trump, Bush <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/06\/03\/george-p-bush-trump-beer-koozies-texas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">sought<\/a> the former president\u2019s endorsement, but it was ultimately <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/07\/26\/trump-endorse-ken-paxton-george-bush-texas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">given to Paxton<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h4>6. South Carolina\u2019s 1st Congressional District (GOP Primary \u2013 June 14)<\/h4>\n<p>Republican Rep. Nancy Mace, who <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=J0Qm9dW6muw&#038;ab_channel=ABCNews\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">said<\/a> Trump needed to face \u201caccountability for his actions\u201d in the aftermath of the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, faces a primary challenger in her first attempt at reelection. While Mace never voted to impeach Trump, the former president endorsed Katie Arrington over her.<\/p>\n<p>Arrington released internal <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PollProjectUSA\/status\/1500902692671029248\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">polling<\/a> in March that showed Mace with a 15-point lead. However, Mace trailed by 18 points after voters were informed that Trump supported her opponent.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m gonna win without him,\u201d Mace <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thestate.com\/news\/politics-government\/article258559533.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">told<\/a> The State in February.<\/p>\n<h4>7. Arizona Governor (GOP Primary \u2013 August 2)<\/h4>\n<p>Former news anchor Kari Lake, who earned Trump\u2019s endorsement in September, has consistently led in the polls, but Arizona Board of Regents member Karrin Taylor Robson, has closed the gap in recent weeks. In an April <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.ohpredictive.com\/press-releases\/az-gop-gov-race-lake-leads-robson-climbing-salmon-stalls\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">poll<\/a> from OH Predictive Insights, Lake led Taylor Robson 29-22%.<\/p>\n<p>Lake said she would not have certified Biden\u2019s Arizona victory in the 2020 presidential election while <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/AccountableGOP\/status\/1444270949285736448?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">speaking<\/a> to One American News Network and has echoed Trump\u2019s unsubstantiated claims the state\u2019s results were \u201cfraudulent\u201d and \u201ccorrupted.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The winner of the race will likely face off against Democratic Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs, who rose to notoriety on the left in 2020 for criticizing the attempts of some Republicans to overturn the state\u2019s election results, Politico <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2020\/11\/05\/arizona-election-chief-protesters-maricopa-county-434505\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_7419860\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-7419860\" class=\"wp-image-7419860 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/GettyImages-1330470701-scaled-1.jpg\" alt=\"Donald Trump Holds A \" Save America \/><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-7419860\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Former Fox News Anchor Kari Lake speaks during the Rally To Protect Our Elections conference on July 24, 2021 in Phoenix, Arizona. Missouri Senate (GOP Primary \u2013 August 2)<\/h4>\n<p>A wrench was thrown into Missouri\u2019s Republican primary when former Missouri Republican Gov. Eric Greitens, the leading candidate in the race, was <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/03\/21\/sheena-greitens-eric-greitens-domestic-abuse-child-abuse\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">accused<\/a> by his ex-wife of physically abusing her and their young children. Greitens was already <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2021\/03\/15\/republicans-fret-eric-greitens-comeback-475737\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">considered a risky candidate<\/a>, even in a solidly red state like Missouri, because a sexual misconduct scandal forced him to <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2018\/05\/29\/eric-greitens-resign\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">resign<\/a> from the governorship in 2018.<\/p>\n<p>In the aftermath of Greiten\u2019s ex-wife\u2019s accusations, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realclearpolitics.com\/epolls\/2022\/senate\/Missouri.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">both<\/a> Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt and Republican Rep. Vicky Hartzler have led in a poll. Trump is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/minutes\/congress\/04-21-2022\/don-jr-for-greitens\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reportedly<\/a> considering endorsing Greitens, while his son, Donald Trump Jr., <a href=\"https:\/\/www.audacy.com\/971talk\/news\/politics\/donald-trump-jr-visits-stl-this-week\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">threw<\/a> support behind him in an April 19 appearance on the conservative Marc Cox Morning Show. <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/03\/30\/anheuser-busch-heiress-trudy-busch-valentine-eric-greitens-missouri-senate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>(RELATED: Anheuser-Busch Heiress Announces Run For Senate)<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<h4><strong>9. Wisconsin Senate (DEM Primary \u2013 August 9)<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>President Joe Biden won Wisconsin against Trump in the 2020 presidential election, but the state has a Republican senator up for reelection in November. Sen. Ron Johnson is the only Republican incumbent whose race is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cookpolitical.com\/ratings\/senate-race-ratings\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">rated<\/a> as a \u201ctoss-up\u201d by the Cook Political Report.<\/p>\n<p>While Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes has been the frontrunner in the Democratic primary, his campaign has faced criticism from the left after it moved towards the center, such as when it came out against the Biden administration\u2019s decision to end Title 42, Politico <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2022\/04\/28\/pro-bernie-endorses-dem-senate-primary-00028474\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reported<\/a>. Our Wisconsin Revolution, a Bernie Sanders-aligned group, endorsed Outagamie County executive Tom Nelson on Thursday.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>10. Wyoming At-Large Congressional District (GOP Primary \u2013 August 16)<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Rep. He has thrown his support behind <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/06\/18\/donald-trump-endorses-lisa-murkowskis-republican-challenger-2022-kelly-tshibaka\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kelly Tshibaka<\/a>, who was shown to be leading Murkowski by two points in a March <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scribd.com\/document\/566814206\/Alaska-poll#fullscreen&#038;from_embed\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">poll<\/a> commissioned by her campaign.<\/p>\n<p>The state, however, has done away with party primaries and will instead allow the top four candidates to move on to the general election, meaning Murkowski could theoretically win reelection with enough support from Democrats and independents, New York Magazine <a href=\"https:\/\/nymag.com\/intelligencer\/article\/ranked-choice-voting-lisa-murkowski.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reported<\/a><\/p>\n<h4>12. Florida Governor (DEM Primary \u2013 August 23)<\/h4>\n<p>While Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis is considered to be a major 2024 presidential contender, he is still running for reelection in the Sunshine state. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2022\/04\/08\/politics\/ron-desantis-florida-governor-reelection-fundraising\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Raising a massive $100 million<\/a> for his reelection campaign, DeSantis is seen as an extremely formidable opponent, with Cook Political Report <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cookpolitical.com\/ratings\/governor-race-ratings\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">rating<\/a> the race as \u201clikely Republican.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The two major contenders for the Democratic nomination are Rep. Charlie Crist, a former Republican governor himself who switched parties, and Commissioner of Agriculture Nikki Fried, the only Democrat currently elected statewide.
