I was really fit, but I didn\u2019t have boobs. So I got them. Everything went well, and I was happy with them. Fast forward about 3 years to early 2018, and I noticed that my hair was not as healthy and was breaking off. News (@enews) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/enews\/status\/1520183563878080516?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 29, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cThen fast forward to late 2020\u2026. and the wheels came off,\u201d she added. \u201cI had [menstrual] cycle irregularity, gained more weight, my hair wasn\u2019t looking healthy at all and my face was a different shape (weird I know). So, I went down the rabbit hole to figure it out. I did every test that could be done.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The most successful <a href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/sports\/story\/2020-03-09\/danica-patrick-nascar-indycar-racing\">female race car driver in history<\/a>\u00a0in an open-wheel series then provided a list of \u201csymptoms and out of range medical tests\u201d she underwent over the last few years to figure out what was happening. Some of those things included \u201chypothyroidism,\u201d\u00a0\u201clow estrogen,\u201d \u201cadrenal fatigue,\u201d \u201cdry scalp\/skin,\u201d \u201cface swelling,\u201d \u201cweight gain,\u201d and \u201chair loss,\u201d among so many others.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI had them removed on Wednesday,\u201d Patrick revealed. \u201cThe picture is a snap shot of a couple hours before and a couple hours after. Within hours after surgery this is what I noticed \u2013 my face had more color and less dark circles (no food before the second pic), my face started producing oil again, I could take a 30% deeper breath into my chest already, and I had so much energy when I woke up (and surgery was at 230pm).\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Her post included two photos \u2014 one taken before she had the implants removed and one she said was taken just a couple of hours after and the differences are definitely visible.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"instagram-media\" data-instgrm-permalink=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/Cc8HQGNruIJ\/?utm_source=ig_embed&#038;utm_campaign=loading\" data-instgrm-version=\"14\"><\/blockquote>\n<p>Patrick said she believed the condition known as \u201cbreast implant illness\u201d is what affected her as she slammed the \u201cgood folks at these drug companies who are selling them to say they are safe.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are a host of issues that women have dealt with and I have many, but not all,\u201d Patrick shared. \u201cAfter watching over 100 stories on YouTube\u2026. my belief is, it\u2019s not if but when you develop symptoms. Some are right away, others are over 15 years later. Silicone is a foreign object and leaches chemicals (look up that huge list!) that\u2019s why the body produces a capsule around it.\u00a0If this post helps just one get to the root of their issues, it did its job. I will share my progress as I go along.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Reading through the comments, a lot people showed their support to the former driver speaking out about her experience.<\/p>\n<p>TV personality Catt Sadler called Patrick\u2019s post \u201cimportant\u201d and wrote, \u201cso happy you are free.
