Meadows\u2019 attorney, George Terwilliger, wrote.<\/p>\n<p>Committee court filings have shown that Meadows was in regular contact before Jan. 6, 2021, with Republicans who advanced false claims of election fraud and supported overturning the results of the 2020 election.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A filing last week <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/capitol-siege-steve-bannon-donald-trump-mark-meadows-congress-1c77eda3332af497c866bab774d26fad\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">cited testimony from a White House aide<\/a> who said Meadows had been advised that there could be violence Jan. 6.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/trump-wanted-to-join-jan-6-march-secret-service-refused\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>TRUMP SAYS HE WANTED TO JOIN JAN. 6 MARCH BUT SECRET SERVICE WOULDN&#8217;T ALLOW IT<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I know that there were concerns brought forward to Mr. Meadows. I don\u2019t know.
