A spokesperson for the news outlet confirmed the story is fake.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><b>Fact Check:\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The Facebook image shows what appears to be a screen grab of an article from CTV News titled \u201cConspiracy theorists keep getting things right; Experts say \u2018that\u2019s dangerous.&#8217;\u201d The subhead reads, \u201cMovements like the \u2018freedom convoy\u2019 are fueled by conspiracy theories, and when those theories are correct, it legitimizes them.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf we keep getting things right, I suppose they\u2019re not so conspiratorial are they?\u201d said one Facebook user who shared the screen grab.<\/p>\n<p><span>The image is digitally fabricated. No results for the alleged news story appear on the CTV News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ctvnews.ca\/search-results\/search-ctv-news-7.137?q=conspiracy+theorists+keep+getting+things+right\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">website<\/a><\/span><span>, or on <\/span><span>the outlet\u2019s verified <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=(from%3Actvnews)%20conspiracy%20theorists%20keep%20getting%20things%20right&#038;src=typed_query&#038;f=top\"><span>Twitter<\/span><\/a><span>, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/search\/posts?q=conspiracy%20theorists%20keep%20getting%20things%20right&#038;filters=eyJycF9hdXRob3I6MCI6IntcIm5hbWVcIjpcImF1dGhvclwiLFwiYXJnc1wiOlwiMTk0NTUzODYwNTg2NTQ4XCJ9In0%3D\"><span>Facebook<\/span><\/a><span> or <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/ctvnews\/\"><span>Instagram<\/span><\/a><span> accounts.
