In fact, he said that things had gotten worse since Biden took office last year.<\/p>\n<p>Jones joined anchor John Berman on \u201cNew Day,\u201d and he argued that the \u201cdisappointment factor\u201d was taking its toll as inflation and other issues were souring <a href=\"https:\/\/dailywire.com\/news\/biden-sees-double-digit-drop-in-approval-among-black-voters-even-worse-among-young-black-voters-survey\/\">black voters<\/a> on Biden heading into the midterm elections.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">CNN&#8217;s Van Jones says the &#8220;day-to-day reality for Black folks hasn&#8217;t improved&#8221; under Joe Biden. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;In fact, because of inflation and other things, [it&#8217;s] gotten worse.&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/CvxOTiJszz\">pic.twitter.com\/CvxOTiJszz<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 RNC Research (@RNCResearch) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RNCResearch\/status\/1520044796345208834?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 29, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cDay-to-day reality for Black folks hasn\u2019t improved,\u201d Jones said, adding, \u201cIn fact, because of inflation and other things, it\u2019s gotten worse \u2014 and so you\u2019re starting to see that disappointment factor set in.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDo you think it will change the voting patterns?\u201d Berman asked.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think that it may well,\u201d Jones continued. \u201cAlso, don\u2019t forget, you have had a concerted effort on the part of conservatives to recast the Republican Party and the party of the multi-racial working class.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jones mentioned a number of key issues that were especially important among <a href=\"https:\/\/dailywire.com\/news\/really-pete-buttigieg-apparently-surprised-to-hear-many-black-people-are-unhappy-with-democrats\/\">black voters,<\/a> namely police reform and voting rights \u2014 and he argued that many voters felt like they had done their part in helping to get President Biden elected but hadn\u2019t gotten much in return with regard to their desired policy changes.<\/p>\n<p>Recent polling appears to support Jones\u2019 position as well. According to a <a href=\"https:\/\/news.gallup.com\/poll\/391733\/biden-job-approval-down-among-younger-generations.aspx\">Gallup poll<\/a> released just two weeks ago \u2014 measuring Biden\u2019s job approval at the one-year mark in his presidency against his approval rating just after taking office \u2014 the president\u2019s loss of support from black voters has been dramatic if not precipitous.<\/p>\n<p>For the first few months of his presidency, Biden\u2019s average approval rating among all American adults hovered around 56% \u2014 but with one year under his belt, that average had dropped 14 points to 42%.<\/p>\n<p>But when the numbers are broken down further, they reveal where Biden is losing the most support. And according to Gallup, his approval rating has dropped the fastest among younger Americans \u2014 specifically millennials and Generation Z \u2014 and among black and Hispanic voters.<\/p>\n<p>Among millennials Biden\u2019s approval rating has dropped 19 points (from 60% to 41%) and with Generation Z voters it has fallen 21 points (from 60% to 39%). Among black voters, Biden\u2019s approval is down from 87% to 67% \u2014 a 20 point drop.
