Actress Olivia Wilde was served legal papers while she was onstage at CinemaCon promoting the movie \u201cDon\u2019t Worry Darling\u201d this week. The envelope, which was marked \u201cprivate and confidential,\u201d was given to her by an unknown individual sitting in front of the stage.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Deadline <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2022\/04\/olivia-wilde-cinemacon-jason-sudeikis-legal-documents-ted-lasso-1235011446\/\"><span>confirmed<\/span><\/a><span> Wednesday that the envelope contained custody documents. The pair, who were engaged but never married, share two children, Otis and Daisy. They\u2019ve been broken up since 2020.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>A source <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.harpersbazaar.com\/celebrity\/latest\/a39849162\/jason-sudeikis-didnt-know-olivia-wilde-served-custody-papers-onstage-cinemacon\/#:~:text=%22Mr.%20Sudeikis%20had%20no%20prior,and%20got%20engaged%20in%202013.\"><span>told<\/span><\/a><span> Variety that Sudeikis did not know Wilde would be served the papers during the event.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cPapers were drawn up to establish jurisdiction relating to the children of Ms. Wilde and Mr. Sudeikis,\u201d the source said. \u201cMr. Sudeikis had no prior knowledge of the time or place that the envelope would have been delivered as this would solely be up to the process service company involved and he would never condone her being served in such an inappropriate manner.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>A spokesperson for CinemaCon said they\u2019re planning to \u201creevaluate\u201d their security protocol in light of what happened.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cTo protect the integrity of our studio partners and the talent, we will reevaluate our security protocols,\u201d NATO managing director and head of CinemaCon Mitch Neuhauser told Variety.\u00a0<\/span><span>\u201cWe will act accordingly because it\u2019s the right thing to do. We want to do the safe, proper thing.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Wilde has moved on and is dating pop star Harry Styles now, who is also one of her costars in the film \u201cDon\u2019t Worry Darling.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Onlookers confirmed that Wilde did not visibly react to the papers even after she read them. Instead, the 38-year-old actress kept her focus on the movie she was promoting, calling it, \u201ca love letter to movies that push the boundaries of our imagination.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>In 2021, a source close to the former couple <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/movies\/critics-choice-awards-2021-olivia-wilde-congratulates-jason-sudeikis-ted-lasso-wins\/\"><span>told<\/span><\/a><span> People they were focused on peacefully co-parenting.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The insider said Wilde and Sudeikis had \u201ctransitioned into a great co-parenting routine,\u201d while another source had previously told People, \u201cThe children are the priority and the heart of the family\u2019s relationship.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The exes were engaged for seven years and renovated a house in Brooklyn together. Ever since the breakup, they\u2019ve been publicly supportive of each other, congratulating one another on social media and even making jokes together.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cCongrats to Jason and the entire Ted Lasso family on your @CriticsChoice wins!
