Wade<\/em>, that we already existingly codified that into law and made sure that we can\u2019t go back,\u201d he said, according to video footage posted by the RNC Research team.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">WATCH: Pennsylvania\u2019s Lt. They just won\u2019t be safe, if they are illegal, and we can\u2019t ever go back to that. We just can\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Asked if there were \u201cany limitations on abortion\u201d that he would \u201cfind appropriate,\u201d Fetterman responded, \u201cI don\u2019t believe so, no.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He did not immediately respond to requests for comment from The Daily Wire.<\/p>\n<p>Strong support for unlimited abortion has increasingly become a litmus test for Democratic politicians. During the most recent presidential election cycle, then Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2020\/02\/08\/sanders-pro-choice-essential-democrat\/\">insisted<\/a> that \u201cbeing pro-choice is an essential part\u201d of being a Democrat.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think in the Senate\u2019s, probably 95% of the Democrats are pro-choice, the other few are not \u2014 in the House, maybe even a higher percentage,\u201d he said.\u00a0\u201cSo that\u2019s kind of what my view is. I think by this time in history, I think when we talk about what a Democrat is, I think being pro-choice is an essential part of that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Pressure for Democratic candidates to fully support abortion was so strong during the election cycle that President Joe Biden <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/09\/03\/biden-abortion-life-conception\/\">abandoned his former support<\/a> for the Hyde Amendment, which bans the use of federal funding for abortions, after strong backlash from pro-abortion groups, left-wing activists and his fellow candidates \u2014 including his now vice president.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">BREAKING: Democrat Joe Biden announces he can no longer support the Hyde Amendment after getting attacked by Democrats over the last 24 hours for supporting it <\/p>\n<p>He blames Republicans for his decision <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/vV1wTD3B3q\">pic.twitter.com\/vV1wTD3B3q<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Ryan Saavedra (@RealSaavedra) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RealSaavedra\/status\/1136789241164419072?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 7, 2019<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>A few weeks before Fetterman\u2019s remarks, Arizona gubernatorial candidate Katie Hobbs <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/democratic-az-gubernatorial-candidate-dodges-questions-about-limits-on-abortion\">similarly would not name<\/a> one limit she could support on abortion, even when given multiple opportunities, when discussing pro-life <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/us-supreme-court-sports-health-arizona-doug-ducey-a580e3231de74c1bb943a68c4aded72c\">legislation signed<\/a>\u00a0by Republican Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey banning most abortions after 15 weeks.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut where do you draw the line though?
